Weld QualityUpdate and expand. Front panel memory carddata port provides the ability to easily updatesoftware and expand product features. Visit MillerWelds.com/TIGSoftware for the latestsoftware updates and expansions.
Blue Lightning™ high-frequency (HF) arc starterfor non-contact arc initiation. Provides moreconsistent arc starts and greater reliabilitycompared to traditional HF arc starters.
Meter calibration allows digital meters to becalibrated for certification.
ReliabilityFan-On-Demand™
cooling system operates only when needed, reducing noise, energy use and the amount of contaminants pulled through machine.
Cooler-On-Demand™
feature operates the auxiliary cooling system only when needed, reducing noise, energy use, and airborne contaminants pulledthrough the cooler.
Wind Tunnel Technology™ protects internalelectrical components from airbornecontaminates, extending the product life.
Welder FriendlyPro-Set™ eliminates the guesswork when setting weld parameters. Use Pro-Set when you want the speed, convenience and confidence of preset controls.Simply select the feature and adjust until Pro-Setappears on the display.
Sleep timer conserves electricity. This programmable feature will power down themachine if it sits idle for a specific time.
Cooler Power Supply (CPS) is an integrated120-volt dedicated-use receptacle for theCoolmate™ 1.3.
AC TIGBalance control provides adjustable oxideremoval which is essential for creating thehighest quality aluminum welds. DX modelsprovide extended ranges.
Frequency controls the width of the arc coneand can improve directional control of the arc.
AC WaveformsAdvanced squarewave, fast freezingpuddle, deep penetration and fast travel speeds.
Soft squarewave for a soft buttery arc with maximum puddle control andgood wetting action.
Sine wave for customers that like atraditional arc. Quiet with good wetting.
Triangular wave reduces the heat input and is good on thin aluminum. Fast travel speeds.
DC TIGExceptionally smooth and precise arc forwelding exotic materials.
MIGCV output of the power source gives this unitMIG process capabilities when paired with aSuitCase® X-TREME™ 8VS (or other voltage-sensing feeder). The feeder is powered off thearc voltage of the power source and can runboth solid and flux-cored wires
AC/DC StickDIG control allows the arc charac teristics to bechanged for specific applications and electrodes.Lower the DIG setting for smooth runningelectrodes like E7018 and increase the DIGsetting for stiffer, more penetrating electrodeslike E6010.
Hot Start™ adaptive control provides positive arcstarts without sticking.
AC frequency control adds stability for smootherwelds when AC stick welding.
Stick-Stuck detects if the electrode is stuck tothe part and turns the welding output off tosafely and easily remove the electrode. Menuselectable.

Portable wire feeding at its bestVoltage-sensing, portable feeders designed to run off of arc voltage from almost any weldingpower source, provide extreme reliability for construction and fabrication.
• Scaled wire pressure knob provides easyadjustment and consistent pressure on thedrive rolls and wire
• Wire drive and motor assembly is specificallydesigned for mobile welding applications toprovide smooth and consistent wire delivery
• Gun locking tab works with guns havingcorresponding locking grooves to preventgun from being pulled out if the feeder isdragged by the gun
• Ultra-low drag inlet guide pins make loadingthe wire easy and do not deform the wire onthe way into the drive rolls

Insight
MIG (GMAW)
The Dynasty 280 has a lower bottom end, and can weld thinner metals.
Weld longer at higher amperages. At 200 A the Dynasty 280 can weld continuously.
HF on start only limits HF interference issues duringthe weld.
Precise adjustments can be made with all-digital controls for greater quality control and repeatability.
Select the feature and adjust until Pro-Set appears in display. Pro-Set is available for Balance, Frequency, Pulse and DIG parameters.
Higher frequencies provide better arc control and faster travel speeds.
Greater electrode negative helps to produce welds with less etching for more aesthetic looking welds.
Advanced squarewave = Travel fasterSoft squarewave = Maximum puddle controlSine wave = Traditional characteristicsTriangular wave = Reduced heat input
Extended Frequency and Balance controls permit welding aluminum with pointed tungsten. The benefits are reduced heat input into your part, smaller weld beads, better starting, more control of the arc and faster travel speeds.
Easier to move because of size and weight. Don’t have to wait for a crane operator.
Auto-Line allows the unit to operate on any voltage. 1-phase or 3-phase. Even generators!
Line requirement to operate is much less. Smaller electrical service needed, smaller breaker/fuses and power cord.
Ensures weld quality, records and maintains weld data and tracks productivity.
CV output makes the power source capable of the MIG process through the use of a voltage-sensing feeder.
