2 7th to 8th Jan 2017 State Level Robotics Workshop Mr.S.V.Thakur,Mr. Ravindra S. Lahane Mr. Sunil S. Patil, Mr. Rohit Patil, Ms.Nirmala Bhingare
As per syllabus given by Savitribai Phule University of Pune, a Workshop should be arranged by
the educational institution for subject ‘Robotics. Therefore, our college had arranged a
Workshop on to ‘Experts Industrial Robotics to Workshop, at Mechanical Engineering
Department. The purpose of Workshop is to bridge Gap between Theory subject and Practical
Exposure to Students of UG. This workshop aims at giving an opportunity to the buddy
engineers to take a stand and actively participate in the “Training on Live Robo” in our
institute. This workshop covers the concepts of “Industrial Robotics, Motion Control, and
Mechatronics.”Hence in regards to this we believe that the students participating would be
definitely benefited. Also some of the Experts from Industry are coming for giving live industry
practical exposure.
DAY FIRST Session:
Mr. P. M. Salunke, CEO, PMS Robotics Research Centre, Pune. Explained about Advance Axis
Programming. Advance metal Cutting Technology 1 Axis Programming, Working Planes, Intro
Parametric Programming & Developing Macros. Introduction to FMS, CIM. and Taught the
Participant about robot programming how to control the motion and path .
DAY SECOND Session:
Mr. P. M. Salunke CEO, PMS Robotics Research Centre, Pune. Explained about Robot
Motion Control and Robotics Motion controller algorithm development PID Control Theory.
Data acquisition from feedback devices Servo technology linear potentiometer encoders (rotary,
optical) Motors, feedback devices, sensors, tuning, testing, acceleration, velocity, positioning
testing Motion control programming(VC++) Open loop system and close loop systems. S-curve,
t-curve functions. Linear interpolation, circular interpolation, Helical Interpolation, How coded
instruction are converted into pulses and given to appropriate motors. Mechanical drive.
Industrial Robot and their Types Robo Programming and operating.
Mr. Rajesh Bade, General Manager, ThyssenKrupp Industries Private Limited Pimpri, Pune,
India was explained about the each and every process of Car and How to Repair and Maintained
car components. Then sir Explained about importance of Material in designing any component
and give complete practical exposure to automation in industry .What is importance of Robots
Automation in Industry?
Then Mr. Shankar Chavan, MD, Sagar Gears Pvt Ltd, Tadwade, Pune on Explain about the gear
design and what is importance of gear boxes on shop floor and Problems about it. He explained
detailed process of gear.
Conclusion:
1. The Robotics Workshop was thus a very useful & informative to students. As per need of
Theory /Practical Exposure was given to student .for to bridge the gap between academics and
Industry knowledge. We mould the students as per needs of industry. Expert explained all theory
and practical part very well.
2. What is the advancement in robot control system and interfacing of all System Is shown to
student, which helps to increase more practical exposure to student?
3. The Expert was very helpful and solved all doubts and queries of students which help in
better understanding of working of Robot Machine and various controllers to work for
programming.
