The young artists were encouraged to receive prizes in different categories. Visit to Seewage Treatment Plant A visit to the Sewage Treatment plant for the students of classes 6 th and 7 th of DVM was organized on 3 rd February’18. Students were escorted by 4 Guide Teahcers, Samita Mishra, Anju Mishra, Meenakshi Swaminath and Krishna Bhowmikto explore it. Mr. Brijendra Chaturvedi explained to the students the functions of plant thoroughly. After the visit the studens were brought back to the school. The experience of going to the plant and knowling the process of cleaning water for reuse was a great opportunity for them.

Prize Distribution of Nanhe Shilpi Drawing Comepetition (Dainik Jagaran)

Prizes for ‘Nanhe Shilpi’ Drawing competition organized by Hindi Daily ‘Dainik Jagaran’ at Football Ground were distributed in school. The young artists were encouraged to receive prizes in different categories.

DVM Matru Pitru Diwas Celebration

Matru pitru diwas was celebrated in DVM on 14th February 2018. Parents of students studying in classes VII to IX were invited to attend the function. Songs, dances, speeches glorifying the parents contribution in the life of their children were presented on this occasion. The functions were attended by dignitaries from OCL and school managing committee.

Lab Visit (Pre-Primary)

On 3rd February 2018 Nursery, KG and Prep children visited Library, Computer Lab, Chemistry Lab, Physics Lab and Biology Lab of our school. Finding themselves amidst the book thrilled them and filled them with awe. Teachers gave them some comics to read. From there they went to computer Lab where they played some games and made drawings. After that they went to physics and chemistry lab. Lastly they visited Biology Lab, Children were astonished by seeing skeleton and different preserved creatures. They were very eager to see everything present over there. It was a day full of wonder and children felt like they had a trip to wonderland.

DVM Olympiad Topper Medal Distribution (GK & IEO)

DVM students performed well in GK and English Olympiads conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation and were awarded class topper medals along with certificates

Class XII CBSE Board Practical Exams

CBSE Class XII Board Practical Exams were conducted from 25th Jan’18 to 8th Feb’18 in our school by external examiners deputed by CBSE Board from different schools for different subjects.

Rulella (MR)Vaccination in school

The students of classes Nursery to Class X were vaccinated on 1st Feb, 2018 in school under the programme of Rubella Vaccination sponsored by WHO.

DVM Fancy Dress Competition (Class 1 & 2)

Fancy dress competition for junior group was organised and the students participated with full enthusiasm. They dressed themselves as the personification of teacher, Santa, Doctor, Miss world, Bharat Mata. The programme was worth seeing and enjoyable.

Class XII Farewell

The farewell programme for the students of class XII was organised on 10th Feb, 2018. The students of class XI took the initiative role in organising the programme. The outgoing students shared their memorable experiences of school life and expressed their gratitude to everyone in school. The teachers blessed the students wholeheartedly and wished them success for their future life.

DVM Plant Visit Class 9 children went for OCL Plant visit on13th and 14th Feb’18. At the entrance they were given general instructions on Safety rules and were provided helmets. Then they were taken around the factory and to CCR to have a better understanding on how the plant works. The procedure of cement processing was shown to them and now students know how cement is made. The escort teachers were Ms.Renuprava Pattnaik, Mr. Kishore Samal, Ms.Tanuja Pattnaik and Mr.Ankit Srivastava.

Class X Blessing Ceremony With life’s first major test knocking at the door giving nightmares, what could a class 10 student wish for? Of course, blessings of teachers would work wonders. The class 10 students were called for blessings and examination tips with light refreshment on 16th Feb, 2018 observed as blessing day.

In the memory of Late Ansari Sir Sri G.R.Ansari had a long association with this institute. He can also be called as one of the foudning fathers of DVM. His journey of thousand miles started in the year 1963 and ended in the year 2001 with his retirement. He will be fondly remembered by the DVM faculty and thousands of students who were nurtured under his kind guidance.

Principal’s message on the beginning of the academic year 2018-19

“ Beginning makes a lot of difference… so always keep your beginning focused, optimistic and full of dedication… Another fresh year at school is a chance to begin your life fresh, with new goals and new challenges… Best of luck to you and I am sure you will make proud and happy!!!”

I am excited and honored to welcome each and every one of you to the beginning of a new school academic year. Let it be interesting and unusual for you and let it bring new knowledge and discoveries , as well as new challenges.

This school year will be a year of setting and reaching attainable goals, working harder and smarter and taking our school and student achievement to the next level of “GREATNESS”. We are dedicated to a student-centered program that promotes academic excellence through an enriched, rigorous inter-disciplinary curriculum. As a staff, we are here to support all of you, by any means necessary, to ensure you reach your fullest academic potential. We look forward to working with you, to provide a high-quality education that you all deserve.

This year, you can look forward to encountering a highly intensive and challenging academic program that will push you to work beyond your limits. However, I am confident that all of you have the capacity and ability to meet our expectations and the demands of your new classes and teachers. Our goal is to ensure that all students become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers and prolific writers. We do all of this to prepare you for the demands of the real-world so you may become productive citizens, become our future leaders, and contribute and/or give back something positive to the community.
