Duties and Responsibilities Comprehensive desktop computer systems administration and IT support services for PCs and servers running Windows, OSX or Linux, including design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of all hardware, software, and peripherals, using appropriate methods tassure optimal functionality. Provides all technical assistance/support including: desktop application support, desktop operating system support, network connectivity, and access tnetwork services, hardware/software support, and minor development support (e.g. macros, queries). Assesses and provides recommendations for the computing service needs and requirements; valuates new technologies for long-range planning; Research, recommend and purchase necessary hardware, software and other equipment. Create and store software deployment packages tassure quick restoration. Create and monitor online learning modules. Convert PDF documents tonline interactive activities. Customizes operating systems tmeet project requirements. Develops and maintains technical standards, documentation, user guidelines, etc. Develops documentation and implements best practice for systems management including, disaster recovery, network documentation, system security, anti-virus protection. Documents and maintains system backups; validates backup integrity; and restores backups when necessary. Monitors system performance and carries out timely fixes, patches, software/ firmware updates and backups. Maintains inventory and proper disposal of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and consumables. Keep abreast of new technological developments and update technical skills through professional development, including attending seminars, classes and industry conferences. Supports network security with ability tdiagnose network security vulnerabilities and provide and/or recommend solutions tminimize them. Researches and keeps current on network security issues. • Assists in the production of publications (both online and print), including design and creation of posters, promotional materials, and publications such as articles and books.

• Complete reports as required. • Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and documents custom reports and applications. • Develops and maintains custom Web-based applications with database driven dynamic content. • Develops and maintains program websites. • Grant writing, proofing, design, layout, editing, and submission. • Prepares written documentation, procedures and standards for the general operations of the IT

department, ta level whereby these can be easily understood and done solely by following those documented instructions.

• Presentation design, creation, and technical support • Digital videography and videediting • Researches existing health careers and health sciences recruitment activities. • Disseminates information to students and adult learners interested in health careers. • Develops relationships, collaborates and coordinates with existing health careers and health

sciences recruitment activities in schools, communities, and churches. • Provides recruitment activities for students, teachers, and parents in communities across the

state. • Develops and prepares materials for recruitment and health education activities and

presentations. • Develops the Hawaii Distributed Learning Network as an educational tool for members of

AHEC’s Pre-Health Career Corps. • Creates distance learning modules in DecisionSim on themes such as time management,

learning style, motivation, inhibitors, computer skills, email and social media etiquette, reading strategies, note taking, test-taking strategies, critical thinking, math and science review, professionalism, and financial aid.

• Facilitates mentor pairings and monitors student mentoring and student travel coordination. Hosts and coordinates student visits to health professions schools.

• Attends partnership meetings, conferences, workshops and other collaborative activities. • Organizes meetings/retreats for parties collaborating on recruitment activities. • Assists with developing newsletters, social media posts and web page materials.
