Education Day & Book Week
Wednesday 8th of August
This Week!!
We are very excited to announce that our Education Day
and Book Week activities will take place on Wednesday
8th of August, in Week 3, Term 3.
Please save the date to come and enjoy a wonderful day
of activities to celebrate this year's Book Week theme of
'Find Your Treasure'.
Please join us for the following schedule of activities,
commencing at 11am and concluding at approximately
1:30pm:
* Morning Tea & Book Fair
* Assembly & Book Parade
* Book Week Activity with Mrs Lee (It's a secret, for
now!)
* BBQ lunch
Book Parade Costumes:
To honour this year's Book Week theme of 'Find Your
Treasure', I ask that students please dress as a character
from their most treasured book, the book that is their
favourite so far in their childhood. Parents and carers
can join in the fun and dress to our theme as well!
Students will receive support in library lessons to ensure
they have chosen their treasured book and character to
dress up as and to plan their costume.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this ex-
citing school event and we look forward to seeing you
there!
Jumper Embroidery
If you would like your child’s first name
embroidered on their school jumper , free of
charge, please see Kylie Kiddle. The embroi-
dery would be in the same green as the
jumper, on the left side and hopefully help
to avoid future losses of jumpers.
Family Photo Session
The P&C are having a family photo
fundraiser on 2nd Sept. Contact Charmaine
Alley for more details.
Lunch Orders
Lunch orders will be back Week 4 (Wed 15th
August). This week we have Book Week
BBQ.
Dance Festival
Notes regarding all details related to Dance
Festival have been sent out. Please read
carefully and understand that this is a com-
mitment to a group dance.
It is a super opportunity for our children.

From the Principal
Dear Parents,
What a wonderful day we had at the Bective
Carnival. Great weather and all of the students
performed well. It was lovely to see such good
sportsmanship from our students and congratu-
lations to those who placed in their events.

Aussie Bush Camp Excursion
Please finalise payments for your child to attend
this excursion. It is a good idea to begin thinking
about clothing, toiletries etc that your child will
require to ensure you have everything.

1st– $100, 2nd- $80, 3rd- $70
Squares will be on sale during Education
Week Celebrations
Cooking with Mrs Chiswell
Mrs Chiswell will be doing some cooking sessions
with our primary students. She will take 5 stu-
dents each Thursday to practise skills in cooking.
Over a 4 week period all students will have a turn
cooking each item.
A group of students "christened" our wonderful
new cooking area last week, making some
delicious strawberry coconut muffins. The new
facilities worked well and are going to get a lot of
use as we make this a weekly lesson, ex-
perimenting with different recipes.
I'll send a copy of the recipe home with
students, in case they want to try these out at
home. It's a great opportunity to try out new
foods, as well as develop new skills
and confidence in the kitchen.
