GENERAL INFORMATION Year 7 Transition Support Crusoe College’s Transition Support Team work closely with our feeder Primary Schools to ensure a smooth and successful transition into secondary school. Student information is shared between schools which allows teachers, parents and students to have some input on possible educational requirements, friendship groups and the wellbeing needs of students. Students with special needs are catered for with smaller guided tours of the college, some time to spend in some of our class spaces and meeting with our supportive integration staff. Year 7 Camp At the beginning of each year our newest members of the college are invited to attend the Year 7 camp. Students participate in a range of adventure based activities in a supportive group environment that enhances students’ interpersonal and team work skills. The three day adventure allows students to form lasting friendships, form positive relationships with their teachers and experience a more confident and encouraging start to their secondary education. Compass Compass provides families and students with a wide range of information and is a quick and easy way to communicate with staff at Crusoe College. Through Compass, parents will be able to have access to: Key Assessment Task descriptions and due dates Assessment results and written comments for Key Assessment Tasks Interim and end of semester reports Real time attendance Reports Information regarding upcoming events, news and excursions School Uniform All students are expected to be in full school uniform every day. The Crusoe College uniform provides students with a sense of identity and belonging. It is an important element in promoting the College’s image on a daily basis. All uniform items are able to be purchased at Lowes in Lansell Square. The school does have a limited supply of second hand uniforms for families requiring support. If you have any questions in relation to the school uniform, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
