Nteico Seal 3-17 is a �re resistive �berated water resistant low shrinkage durable single component vapor barrier sealant for low, medium and height velocity heating and air conditioning ducts. NteicoSeal 3-17 forms a tough, permanently -Fexible and durable seal against air leakage when applied with or without reinforcement tape.

Usage

Nteico Seal 3-17 is ideal for application as a sealant on galvanized steel, aluminum and mild steel ducts where it quickly forms a strong bond and sealing. Nteico Seal 3-17 has low water vapor permeability and excellent weather resistance which allow its application even in high humidity environments. It has excellent adhesion to di� erent type of ducting substrates, aluminum jackets and other insulation materials. It has excellent weather and UV resistance and can be used for application at indoor and outdoor ducting systems.

Installation Procedure

a. General

Nteico Seal 3-17 can be applied by caulking gun, brush,glove, trowel or power extrusion.

b. Surface Preparation

All surfaces to be applied must be clean, dry and freefrom dust dirt, oil, grease and any other contaminants.

c. Application

UL 181 Flexible Air Ducts:

Nteico Seal 3-17 may be applied by brush evenly at 5cmwide coat over the duct joint at the rate of about 1.25 M2per liter (50 sq.ft/gallon).

The total applied wet �lm thickness will be about 0.8mm.

Duct Sealing Applications

Apply Nteico Seal 3-17 by brush continuously on the joints, adjoining areas and all areas of the duct systemwhere air leakage is expected. On a spiral duct system,apply a coat of Nteico Seal 3-17 to the male end of thecoupling prior to assembling the straight run of spiral duct over it and coat over the joints to ensure complete seal. Flanges and screw holes also may be sealed with Nteico Seal 3-17.

Jackets and Other Sealing:

Using an extruder gun or a suitable brush, apply NteicoSeal 3-17. It should be dried for minimum 24 hours attempera-ture 25oC or more prior to pressure testing.When applied between two impermeable surface, dryingtime may be extended.

Actual coverage may vary, depending on the type and nature of the surface and the application method.

Outdoor horizontal surfaces must be always drained and dried completely prior to the application and dried completely prior to the application of Nteico Seal 3-17. For horizontal duct surfac-es, a minimum pitch of 2cm per meter (1/4 Inch per feet) is required.

Always test foils and paper facing for adhesion requirements prior to application. Never apply if rain imminent.

Nteico Seal 3-17 does not contain asbestos, lead,

mercury or any other hazardous materials.

Cleaning

Clean brush and equipment with fresh water when wet. Dried sealant may be removed using proprietary cleaning solvents.

Health and Safety

Generally safe, non toxic and non �ammable in wet condition. However, avoid prolonged skin contact. Use of gloves is advisa-ble. If eyes are a�ected with Nteico Seal 3-17, rinse with excess amount of clean fresh water. If ingested, seek medical attention immediately. Ventilation in the working area is desirable.

Description

Nteico Glue 81-10 is a premium quality, single component, synthetic rubber-based adhesive with special additives and tacky�er. It is specially formulated for porous and non-porous surfaces in humid and hot climatic conditions. It has excellent water and alkali resistance and is in�ammable.

Application

Nteico Glue 81-10 is highly recommended in applications where �brous glass and other type of insulation are bondedto the interior or exterior of metal duct system.

Nteico Glue 81-10 has following features:

Surface Preparations

The surface should be structurally sound, clean, dry, leveledand free from dust curing compound grease and other loosedebris according to BS 8203.

Application Procedure

Apply Nteico Glue 81-10 with brush, roller or pressurefeeding equipment evenly on both surfaces. Wait until solvent is fully evaporated. After the evaporation of solvent in adhesive, assemble the surface by applying normal hand pressure.

In case of �brous wool, apply Nteico Glue 81-10 evenly by brush or any suitable equipment over the GI sheet and wait for 5 to 10 minutes before bonding the glass wool.

Exposure Time

10 to 20 minutes depending upon applied �lm thickness and substrate.

Coverage

The wet coverage of Nteico Glue 81-10 is 6 to 8 m2/kg subjected to type of surface and nature of material being bonded.To get proper coverage, always keep the container’s spout closed to prevent the solvent’s evaporation.

Caution

Adequate ventilation must be maintained, particularly in con�ned spaces. Due to the volatile nature of the solvent, keep away from source of ignition such as pilot lights or sparks. Prohibition of smoking must be rigidly enforced in the vicinity of use. To prevent and minimize the evaporation of solvent, use spout only instead of opening the lid of container.

NTEICO COAT 30-36Description

Nteico Coat 30 – 36 is zero VOC water based coating with special performance, high grade, � exible adhesive and sealant, forming a durable seal against air leakage. Due to its excellent resistance to water, U.V. and abrasion, it can be used outdoors as well as indoors to protect various thermal insulations for air-conditioning duct, chilled water line, hot water line etc. Nteico Coat 30 – 36 is compatible with most lagging fabrics and have excellent water resistance with �re retardant property.

Application

It can be used outdoors as well as indoors as a thermal insulation material on metal duct, in areas with high humidity and where elevated temperature is a major problem.

Application Method

Apply a tack coat of Nteico Coat 30 – 36 @ 3 to 3.5m2/liter.After applying tack coat immediately imbed the selected lagging fabric smoothly into the wet coating. Apply two Finish coats of Nteico Coat 30 – 36 at the rateof 4 to 5 m2/liter.

Special Note:

It is very important to ensure that each coat of Nteico Coat 30 – 36 is totally cured before the next coat is applied. The dry �lm thickness will vary with fabric selected.

Mode of Application

Brush – Use suitable paint brush and apply with full brush to spread out evenly. Roller – Use medium size paint roller dipped fully and spread out evenly. Spray Nteico Coat 30 – 36 can be applied with airless spray.

Cleaning

Clean all the tools immediately with clean water. Hardened material can be removed mechanically.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store under cover to protect from direct sunlight and high temperature (>35oC). Shelf life is up to 12 months in unopened container when stored as directed. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging.

Packing

Nteico Coat 30 – 36 is available in 25kg air tight Plastic Pail and 4kg Plastic Bucket.

Health & Safety

As with all chemicals, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn. Inhalation of vapor or mist should be avoided. If inhaled symptoms include coughing, wheezing, laryngitis and shortness of breath, headache, nausea and vomiting.Immediately shift victim to fresh air and, if needed, immediately start arti� cial respiration. Give oxygen if breathing is labored. Get emergency medical help.
