    Walk-In Interview for the post of Junior Research Fellows

    After attaining the status of a full-fledged laboratory in December 1981, DTRL is actively engagedin terrain evaluation studies for meeting diverse needs of our armed forces. The vision of the labis to become a technological leader in producing high resolution terrain intelligence products forDefence Applications. In this endeavour, DTRL is working for development of reliable systems forcharacteristising terrain by employing modern techniques and systems to exploit the satellite dataresources for varied applications.

    In our ongoing efforts relating this, DTRL invites applications for the following vacancies of Junior

    06.09.2011. The registered candidates can appear for a walk-in-interview at 0930 hrs on

    15.09.2011 at DTRL, Matcalfe House, Delhi

    110054. Traveling Allowances (TA) will NOT be

    admissible for the interview.

    Candidates will be required to produce certificates/ testimonials in original at the time of interview.

    After attaining the status of a full-fledged laboratory in December 1981, DTRL is actively

    engaged in terrain evaluation studies for meeting diverse needs of our armed forces. The vision

    of the lab is to become a technological leader in producing high resolution terrain intelligence

    products for Defence Applications. In this endeavour, DTRL is working for development ofreliable systems for characteristising terrain by employing modern techniques and systems to

    exploit the satellite data resources for varied applications.

    In our ongoing efforts relating this, DTRL invites applications for the following 07 vacancies of

    Junior Research Fellows:

    Desirable: Preference shall be given to those who have:a) Qualified in CSIR/NET/UGC/GATE examination.

    b) Working experience in the Terrain studies/ Geoinformatics/ Geotech investigations.

    General Conditions:

    1. Only candidates who have completed the course and awarded degree/ provisional certificateare eligible to apply. However, the candidates appearing for final year B.Tech/M.Sc are alsoeligible to apply and are required to submit the proof of completion of course/provisional

    certificate on the date of interview.

    2. The candidates may be allowed to register for Ph.D with any University/Institution duringthe tenure of fellowship.

    4. The registered candidates can appear for a walk-in-interview at 0930 hrs on 15.09.2011 atDTRL, Metcalfe House, Delhi-110054 and should carry a hard copy of the application form

    alongwith the testimonials.5. Candidates will be required to produce all certificates/testimonials, community certificate, ifapplicable, in original during interview. They must also bring a set of attested Photocopies

    of all testimonials along with two recent passport size photographs (other than the onepasted on the application form)

    6. The tenure of the fellowship will be initially for a period of two years and based onperformance, it may be extended for 3

    rdand 4thyear if required.

    7. The offer of fellowship does not under any circumstances confer on the candidates any rightfor absorption in DRDO.

    8. Candidates working in Govt/Public sector undertaking / Autonomous bodies should produceno objection certificate to attend the interview.

    9. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining if selected.10. JRFs are offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 14,000/-pm + HRA and other facilitiesadmissible as per rules.

    11. The age limit for all the above posts is maximum of 28 years as on the date of the interview.The age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.

    12. Interested candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 15.09.2011 at DTRL,Matcalfe House, Delhi.
