We have just returned from anexciting week of ministry inVilla Alemana, Chile, where wewere invited because of Pastor Leo Castros relationship withseveral pastors. (Leo grew upin Chile.) After 15 hours of travel, we landed in Santiago, then drove 2 hours to partici-pate in a unity prayer breakfast(held weekly) with the pastors

from the 26 churches of differ-ent denominations who hadinvited us. They choose to fo-cus on their desire to see their churches grow in spiritual ma-turity, rather than on doctrinalissues that could divide them.

The FIVE-DAY TRAIN-ING was for four hours

each evening, beginningwith an hour general ses-sion, followed by four breakout sessions, led by each of

the DTI teammembers. Wedrilled deeper intothe material, facili-tating, and an-swering questionsallowing for as-similation of theconcepts. We hadto limit the number of attendees to100.

DAILY RADIO BROADCAST : We were privileged to beinterviewed on Radio Vida Nueva FM, on Monday, whichled to our sharing the DTI concepts for an hour each daythe rest of the week. The four of us sharedeach day, knowing thatmany of our eveningattendees would belistening, as well asfriends in the US, sincethe program was alsostreamed live via theinternet.

WE EXTENDED OUR AVAILABILITY toshare / preach in addition to the radiobroadcast and the evening sessions, andhad eight other opportunities including aSaturday evening youth service Pablo con-ducted for 180 college and high school-ageyoung people.

Pastor Jimmy (our contact / host inChile) has a niece, Christine, who livedin Canada for five years, and trans-lated for Frank.

On the last night Christine shared thatshe had always wondered why manybelievers lose their passion for theLord and fall away from church or re-

sume old habits, wandering in the spiritual desert. Shenow recognizes the strong need for personal disciple-ship, which would help them grow more quickly to adeeper level of spiritual maturity, in addition to havingstrong Biblical knowledge.

Pastor Ivan (our other host pastor)has a Ministryhome for visitingmissionaries and

pastors. We wereblessed to stay inthis beautiful housea little ways from town, so it was peaceful and private, giving the four of us opportunities to enjoy time with the

Lord on walks amid thebeautiful vegetation.

The Chilean people werevery warm and gracioushosts, always serving uswonderful meals evenat 11pm, after our train-ing sessions were done.

    RESULTS?

As we were leaving on Sunday evening, both Jimmyand Ivan shared that a number of the churches involvedin the workshop had already begun to disciple.!" One lady who attended is a schoolteacher had al-

ready begun to disciple three other Christian womenshe works with during their lunch break using theDTI material.

!" Another church has begun a small group with theleaders who attended the workshop. They are re-viewing the Phase 1 material, and then plan to begindiscipling newer believers in their church.

Pablo and Martha Garcia, missionaries in Ensenada,Mexico, have become very good friends since we didour first training at La Gran Comisin in 2006. Sincethen Frank has worked and taught with Pablo several

different times, including last year in Cuba. Pabloshared that he believed this was the most effectiveteaching that we have done. We attribute that percep-tion to a couple things: 1) We are continually improving, implementing lessons learned, but most importantly 2)God had prepared the hearts of the people in Chile who

had been praying aboutthe discipleship processwe were to bring tothem.

It was truly a delight tosee the growth duringthe week in the newestmember of the DTITraining Team, Rosario .He was in the trainingwe did two years ago at Summit Iglesia in Reno. TheLord convicted him to start discipling, leading him to in-vite his friends, coworkers and neighbors to his homeweekly to share the Gospel, and invite them to church, leading to his discipling some of them. During his

breakout group time inChile, he shared his ownstory, giving them a visionfor how to implement thespiritual parenting model, even though many of them are not pastors. Hewas a wonderful additionto our teaching team.

Please pray for:!" The people and churches in Villa Alemana!" The four of us (Leo, Rosario, Pablo, Frank)!" The upcoming trip to Cuba in June.

!" Seven TTT trainers will be going.!" Pray for God to work another miracle to get

the DTI manuals into Cuba again!" Pray for finances, as donations are needed

to send Pastors to the conference ($20/each for 200 for food, lodging, and books).
