Our name originates from the rich history upon which
the DoubleTree by Hilton, Lincoln is built. The hotel
sits on the site of the former Electricity Works for the
City of Lincoln, dating back to 1895.
In 2007 the site was purchased by the current owners
and planning permission for a 115-room hotel was
granted. In December 2011, the DoubleTree by Hilton
Lincoln officially opened with our 5th floor Bar &
Restaurant offering our customers an elevated
perspective of the city.
The panoramic lift sits where the stone archway
entrance to the Electricity Works used to be. This
archway has been preserved and is now a prominent
feature in the lobby area of the hotel.
Boasting unsurpassed views of the city skyline with
two large balconies, there’s no better place to enjoy
a drink whilst watching the evening sunset. The
Electric offers an eclectic mix of world beers, as
well as an impressive range of cocktails from your
classic favourites to our own signature drinks, and
an extensive food menu to delight your appetite.
