Subject: DST PURSE Support for individual teachers.
Dear Sir/ Madam,
After a lot of efforts and all your cooperation, I am now in a
position to give you the
hope that the grants for the DST PURSE 2nd installment might be
released soon. I had
communicated to you the comments of the expert committee during
the presentation of 1 st
installment report. Keeping that in view, the PURSE
Implementation Committee of theUniversity thinks of allotting money
to the various participating units on the basis of their
academic merit. Some money may also be given to some individual
teachers, preferably
young teachers, showing excellence in research in terms of
number of publications, impact
factor, H-Index etc.
Therefore, I request you to give this a wide publicity among the
teachers of your
department so that they can submit proposals to the undersigned
before 20th June 2012
at the moment. (Soft copy of the proposal may also be sent to
[email protected]).
However, proposals can also be submitted at any time and can be
considered by the
committee from time to time depending on availability of funds.
Teachers who have less
than two years to superannuate are not eligible to apply. The
proposal must provide proper
justification for the demand for which the research work has
been hampered. An application
format is enclosed herewith. The applicant may have to make a
brief presentation before
the committee.
