Dr. Brady Endowed Chair Hahnemann Makes Donation to PCDC in Ocular Oncology at
On Wednesday, December 2, Hahnemann's CEO Michael Halter, FACHE,
presented an $85,000 check to John Ch in, executive director at Philadelphia
Chi natown Development Corporation (PCDC). and Gary Ng, a Hahnemann
board member. For more than a decade, Hahnemann has supported PCDes and its
initiatives to develop the Ch inatow n community. Hahnemann is proud to serve the
Chinatown community, and looks forward to continu ing the established relationship.
Hahnemann's CEO Michael Halter, FACHE, presents an $85,000 check to John Chin, executive director at Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC), and Gary Ng, a Hahnemann board member. Also at the presentation is Robert Pavlich, chief business development officer for Hahnemann University Hospital.

In early spring, Hahnemann opened a state
o f- the-art Va rian Trilogy linear accelerator
for patient care. The new linear accelerator
Will come with a treatment planning system
and updated oncology data management
system (w hich will allow interfaces with
Drexel and hospital financ ial and EMR
systems). With the addition 0 ' tre new linear
accelerator, the hospital has two maCi,I 'leS,
allow ing for uninterrupted patient care.
A dedication ceremony is slated for the
com pleted project in April
The Cancer Center provides patients with
the comprehensive, compa ss iona e treat
ment they need. All ca ses are discussed and
re iewed at multdisciplinary tumor boards
w ith patients' physician s and speciali sts,
providing expert, personal ca re from start to
finish - all on Hahnemann's campus.

Clothing Collection Drive for Patients a Success
Hahnemann 's Janielle Bryan, a
case management assistant, led a
clothing dri ve that collected new
items for patients. Often, patients have their
clothes removed during emergenc ies, or
their clothes are in poor condit ion. Janielle
wanted to give patients new cloth ing before
they vvere discharged from the hospitaL The
collection was a success, receiving support
from other hospital departments and
community partners. She Will be collecting
items throughout the year.
