Well, here we are at the beginning of another New Year. I would like to start off by wishing our readers all the best in this New Year for you and your families on behalf of Driver’s Choice Magazine.. May this year be one of health and prosperity for you.As I sit down to write this we are going through a spell of record cold weather and heavy snowfall. This has been one of the worst for bad weather leading up to the New Year that I can remember. It has also been a bad year for many companies in Canada. In Saskatchewan we just lost Syn Logistics due to bankruptcy, and a number of other companies are facing layoffs. The predictions are for better times by the end of this year and I hope they are right. If we can manage our businesses and adapt to change when necessary we will come out of this downturn with a bright future.On the positive side, fuel has come down in price and continues its decline. The shortages in Western Canada have stopped for now and supplies are back to nor-mal.When I talk with the “suits” at various companies I hear everything from “things are really busy starting off the New Year.,” to “things have been quiet since before Christmas and I don’t know when we will be back to normal”. Freight does seem to be hard to find right now but by the middle of January I hope to start hearing positive comments from everyone. Most of the companies that I have talked to are planning a small expansion in the size of their fleets this year and that is a positive move.Once again, all the best in the New Year to all our readers. I am taking over as editor of Driver’s Choice starting with this issue. A brief history of Titan Transport Ltd

Titan Transport Ltd was started by Orville and Mary Dunlop in 1973, and the Company hauled various raw materials to any and all points in the North American marketplace.
