Pitfalls!

If high torque during drilling or connection, sweep hi-vis pills and circ.

Spot hi-vis pill on all connection.

Pump/Spot pills and start up after connection with 800 GPM

Description Paralell act.

1.

Pick up enough 5” DP and HWDP to be able to drill to1200 m.

2. MU BHA:

MU bottom hole assembly according as following;

24” Tri cone Bit + BIT SUB / F.valve+ TOTCO ring +2 x 9 ½” DC

+24” S.Stab + 5 x 9 ½” DC + X/O + 6 x 8” DC + JAR + 3 x 8” DC

+ X/O + 15 X 5” HWDP

As per Work instruction No: GE 000-0000-DR-WI-9101-00

Insert tooth bit type:23.5"Bit

Use solid float

Verify condition of bit before RIH

RIH with BHA to approx. 10 m above cement .(Shoe

depth 177 m)

Space out to be able to drill shoe and rat

hole without connection (btm of rat hole

@ 181 m)

4.

Wash down and tag cement at ……. m carefully while

pumping at 650-800 gpm & 50 RPM.As per Work instruction No: GE 000-0000-DR-WI-9105-00

Take caution to prevent falling through shoe withhigh WOB, 1-2 ton is enough to minimize weight

transferred to CP.

Continue like this until bottom of rat hole. Increase pump rate to max 800 gpm when below shoe.

Pump 60 bbls Guar Gum and BU.

Clean out rat hole carefully in steps (3m at the time).

Nobody on T Deck because of possible

H2S gas.






5. Drill down to approx. ±545 m TVD.

(Top of Asmari & Jahrum @± 545 m)


Recommended drilling parameters:

WOB: 0 – 20 ton (do not run the jar in neutral)

Max. WOB = 35 MT

RPM: 0 – 80, Back reaming: 30 -50.

Flow: 1000-1200 GPM

Torque limit set at: 15000 – 20 000 ft-lb

Pump 30 bbls Guar Gum every ½ Stand Drilled.

Spot 50 bbls PHG prior to Connection

If Partial Losses:

Pump 30 bbls GG at single drilled and 30 bbls PHB

on connection.

Before connection pick up the single to evaluate any

overpull tendency.

If overpull, Back Ream the Stand w/ 40 RPM.

STUCK PIPE ABOVE JAHRUM:

If hole pack off – DO NOT jar

Stop the pump and bleed off pressure

immediately.


‘Break’ the string free by applying

torque to the string and at the same

time move the pipe up and down close

to neutral weight – do not attempt to

circulate.

Rotate and move pipe upwards and

attempt to regain circulation (rack

back a stand if required).
