Draft Proposal Target Audience: The audience I would like to target would be young adults, aging from between the ages of 18- 25. The reason I choose to target this age group is due to the fact that through the genre of magazine and the associated issues, such as raves, people of this 18-25 year old group will be more experienced with these sort of things, therefore will find the magazine to more of their benefit and understanding than say someone of younger age like 11-14 year olds. Content of feature article: The main feature article for my magazine will be on a new upcoming artist. I have thought of possible names, for example; “Rambo”, “Tendai”, “Mandal” and “Darwin”. As well as using a stage name I will also uses the real identity of the person in use, for example “Darwin” also known as Ben Smith… For my feature article I’ll talk about the artist’s influences, previous experiences and information about their previous work (albums, EPs, singles etc.). I’ll also use quotes said by the artist, as well as quotes from people in association with the artist (friends, family, fellow artists). Purpose of my production: The purpose of my magazine is to give a light- hearted and relaxed feeling towards the reader,

Draft ProposalTarget Audience:

The audience I would like to target would be young adults, aging from between the ages of 18-25.

Content of feature article:The main feature article for my magazine will be on a new

upcoming artist. I have thought of possible names, for example; “Rambo”, “Tendai”, “Mandal” and “Darwin”. As well as using a

stage name I will also uses the real identity of the person in use, for example “Darwin” also known as Ben Smith…

For my feature article I’ll talk about the artist’s influences, previous experiences and information about their previous work (albums,

EPs, singles etc.). I’ll also use quotes said by the artist, as well as quotes from people in association with the artist (friends, family,

fellow artists).

Purpose of my production:The purpose of my magazine is to give a light-hearted and relaxed

feeling towards the reader, whilst at the same time using sophisticated and factual language in order to give the magazine some depth. I’ll use methods such as pictures, bold text etc. This makes the magazine more relatable, as they can begin to grasp

what the person in topic looks like, how they speak and so on. The primary key to my magazine is to be relatable to the reader, if not

relatable people will be less inclined to read it.

Contents of magazine:My magazine will contain content of new upcoming artists,

alongside more abstract ones aswell. I choose to use these types of artists as it will be more unusual to the norm of most music

magazines, and by doing this hopefully my magazine will obtain a

unique feel. I will not just use content of abstract artists as I do not want to complete limit the magazine, so I will use a few big named

artists to balance it out. I’ll use content of artists such as “Kaytranada”, “Flume”, “Disclosure”, “Ta-Ku” and “Jay-Z”. I will also

talk about some other acts not just the ones mentioned here.

Business model:

I hope to make a magazine of this style as it is has a set colour scheme (red, black and white), it’s also bold and uses font similar to the font I wish to use. This magazine is also a good example as it uses multiple information about other artists, and has added perks for the reader, such as a competition to win a trip abroad, and furthermore special added content to the magazine.
