What did we learn?
High risk group :• ≤≤≤≤ 2 years of age at VAD but better results by experience

Three levels of evolution
• Optimization of indication and timing (levosimendan,before cardiac arrest)• Choice of mechanical circulatory support type (ECMO or VAD) and its good technical execution

Evolution through experience
Le nombre des implantations a tendance à augmenter en France,superposable à la transplantation cardiaque pédiatrique qui a tendance à augmenter également (25/an)
Ces implantations ont été pour la plupart possibles grâce à un STIC national en cours qui prend fin en décembre 2011
A ce jour ,le système Excor n‘est pas encore remboursé en France
