Baan IV 6 Baan IV on Oracle, Informix, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase (see versions above)
1 Oracle 9i /10g /11g covers all released versions of Oracle 9i / 10g /11g e. g. 9.x.x and 10.x.x.,11.x.x etc.
Oracle 11g R2 is not included.2 Includes support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server, Advanced Workstation and Enterprise Server
3 DB2 EEE (Partitioned databases) is not supported.
4 In Lotus Domino/Notes R6 (6.0.x), there is a bug in the Domino/Notes backup API. This affects incremental backups, but has
been resolved by IBM. IBM provides this fix to their customers on request. The customer can get the fix for their version of R6
from IBM and use it with DP. The customer should open PMR referencing PMR# 66931,004,000 and SPR# WMUH5PJNN4
directly with Lotus Customer Service and mention that a hotfix is required.5 Data Protector uses the official SAP backup/restore API (BRTOOLS), which is available only in conjunction with the Oracle
database. Therefore, Data Protector support is only dependent on the SAP Brtools version (as supported by SAP in combination
with various SAP Kernels) and not on the SAP Kernel version.6 Baan users with Oracle, Informix, Microsoft SQL Server or Sybase databases can back up their application data by following
the instructions for the integration of Data Protector and their database in the HP OpenView Storage Data Protector 6.0

1 If the Citrix Database is based on one of the Databases for which online integrations is supported, then that integration is used
for online backup of the Citrix database. Otherwise Open File Backup should be used for this purpose. In case of backing up
the data other than Database, normal Disk Agent should be used. Also Data Protector Cell Manager and Citrix can co-exist on
the same server.2 This integration requires a set of scripts to be used. These scripts and the whitepaper for the same can be downloaded at the
following location: http://www.hp.com/go/dataprotector Please click “Utilities” and Data Protector 6.0 thereafter. Then click
“cross operating systems”.3 To utilize this feature following patches are required:
Disk Agent: PHSS_38408, PHSS_38409, DPLNX_00058, DPSOL_00346, DPWIN_00387
Localization: PHSS_38945, PHSS_38946, DPLNX_00067, DPSOL_00361, DPWIN_004034 Vmotion environments are not fully supported.
5 On all Windows 2003 derivatives it is recommended to use the built in Microsoft VSS (Volume Shadow copy Service) instead
of Open File Manager (OFM). VSS is seamlessly integrated with HP Data Protector to provide backup of open files. VSS can
be enabled for Open File Backup in the HP Data Protector Filesystem Backup Specification under Filesystem Options Advanced
in the “WinFS Options” tab by check marking “Use Shadow Copy”. VSS based file system backup of open files does not
require an additional HP Data Protector license, it’s part of all HP Data Protector base products (Starter Packs, Single Server
Editions). Open File Manager might interfere with VSS or other file system related applications, for example virus scanners.6 This is a whitepaper based solution The whitepaper is available at the following location:
http://www.hp.com/support/manuals/ Please select “Storage Software” and Data Protector 6.0 thereafter.7 VCB Proxy in a virtual machine is also supported.
8 VCB 1.5 only supports ESX 3.5.
9 Media Agent is currently not supported on Suse Linux Enterprise Server
10Guest operating systems supported by the corresponding virtualization vendor are supported to be used as DP clients (or Cell
Manager / Installation Server) provided they are also listed in this matrix as a supported OS for DP component or online
integration.
11To utilize this feature on Novell OES 2 for Linux 64bit the following patch is required: SSPLNX600_030.
Clusters Support: All supported DP components for a platform are supported in Cluster also, unless
specifically mentioned.

each cluster node to start local install:
Click on Start ”Run” then type “\\CellManager.FQDN\” and press return key or click on OK button. It will open a new
windows explorer; look for “OmniBack” folder, which is “C:\Program Files\OmniBack\Depot” folder is shared with share
name “OmniBack” on Cell Manager which contains the DP Depot with Patch updates by default.
Select the appropriate OS Architecture (e.g. i386, ia64, x8664) then run “Setup.Exe” or “CSSetup.Exe” from the OS
dependent folder. Then follow the instructions to install Data Protector agent(s).7 To utilize this feature on Novell OES2 for Linux 64bit the following patches are required: SSPLNX600_029, SSPUX600_083,
