IntroductionDP Gezina and DP Galyna are two DP 2 support vessels with Ampelmann Heave Compensated gangway. The vessels are diesel electric driven and have a very high focus on crew welfare, safety and efficiency. New 2016 UpgradesThis year both vessels have again been upgraded in the shipyard. In the shipyard the vessels have been upgraded on four points:-A second retractable bow thruster has been fitted. This ensures increase performance during rough weather. Because of this the Ampelmann can be connected to offshore structures with higher waves. The vessels can now also hold position in area with extreme currents. -An additional deck has been fitted. This means that free deck space has been doubled. Leaving more space for containers or work area.-The number of beds has been increase. The vessel can now take a 70 POB of which 50 guests in single and double cabins.-Optionally a pedestal can be put below the Ampelmann. In that case the Ampelmann can connect up to 25.5 m above the waterline. Pedestal is charged additionally to day rate.
