FROM THE AUXILIARY SECRETARY .Fall is almost here and so are the holidays. There are many events planned for the next few months. Check your newsletter and the big calendar in the entry way for fun things to do. Unfortunately we had to drop quite a few members in the auxiliary who did not renew their membership. So the holi-days would be a good time to bring in a friend to see our club and then sign them up. Remember if you sign up a friend, only include the $15 initiation fee with the application. We will tell them what pro-rated dues they would owe when we contact them. In August we welcomed Debra Hansen sponsored by Vicki Hanley and Suzanne Massey, Lynne Lawson sponsored by Anita Garrett and Christina Wing,Lana Coleman sponsored by Stephanie Romero and Dawn Werner, Kim Jackson sponsored by Eva Appelhans and Sherry Rohan, Debbie Gustafson sponsored by Carol Downs and Sherry Rohan and Judith Saul sponsored by Sherry Rohan and Riley Rohan. “Til next month, Sherry, Auxiliary Secre-tary [email protected]

Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month

I would like to recognize Helen Wilson as the Volun-teer of the Month for October. I received a letter from a gentleman in AZ. He wrote to praise Helen for taking care of his sister, Helen's neighbor. An elderly woman, in poor health for the last couple of years, He spoke of the many times Helen checked on his sister kept him updated, got her to and from Dr's appt., called ambulances during emergency situations, brought her food, and many other kind deeds, before her recent passing. Helen we are proud to have you as our Sister, you represent the true meaning of, "People Helping People."

Many Men as One Man

October ‘s any many men as one man

award goes to the special crew that took the time from their own labor day to help make you( our members) a welcome little pot luck destination ( your Eagles Aerie). They are names that you all know and will recognize and when you see their picture on the wall, you will recognize them all. I want to remind everyone that volunteering is fun, rewarding and contagious. You will find that the more you can volunteer, the more you will want to volunteer. It is truly a rewarding feelings, so don’t be afraid to help, look for ways to help. There are more ways than you think that help can be appreciated. Thank You all for your great contributions. side are starting to drop, it's a great time to clean out closets and gather up your old coats to donate. See you around the Club, Madam President, Sherry Rohan

Fellow Eagles: We want to remind all of our mem-bers that On Saturday Oct. 7

th. We will be

celebrating our Aerie and Auxiliary anniver-sary’s (Aerie 53yr. and Aux. 50

th.yr.). So we

will not be having bingo on that Saturday. While bingo is still on our minds, the volun-teers who put meals and events together for all our enjoyment want to remind everyone that a lot of time and effort goes into making the flyers that announce these events. So when they put them out on the tables, Please don’t use them for scrap paper or bingo dab-ber practice. They work to inform you of up-coming event and the time and effort our vol-unteer will put in towards making the event great for you our members. As stated in our House Rules: Re-gardless of where children are in the Aerie, Parents are responsible at all times for their child’s conduct. Whether the child is in the banquet room, the social room or any other area of the Aerie. This House rule is there for the protection of the children, our members (so that no one gets injured through inci-dental contact or tripping on person’s or ob-ject) and also our Aerie through Insurance issues. So please respect your Aerie and keep it a safe environment for all to enjoy by following these House Rules. They are there to insure that everyone can enjoy a safe friendly environment. One last but not least thing. Everyone who brings a visitor to our Aerie (social room) is responsible for purchasing there drinks. Visitors are not authorized to buy their own drinks, this is a Non-profit organization and you must be a member to purchase drinks, it is against the state liquor Laws for them to purchase them. We can be fined or worse yet Lose our Liquor license altogether. We must follow these guide line to the letter, and eve-ryone’s help is needed. Thanks to all for your cooperation, it is very important to have eve-ryone in the know.

Notes from the

Aerie Secretary

I Hello all, fall is just about here and foot-

ball season is upon us. I hope everyone

will come down and root for your

team.. Bring a friend also and show them

what we have to offer. A few reminders

one is that your first key card is free and

any others will cost a $10 replacement

fee. Also, if you have a friend who is a for-

mer military member have them bring

down their DD214 and the initiation fee

and first years dues are free. This goes for

first responders also. Just a little recogni-

tion for our heroes.

Thanks, Jim
