2012 version:

1st multi-platform version for the GRAITEC Structural BIM suite

GRAITEC Advance aims primarily to improve the productivity of its users, help them reduce design errors and increase the quality of project documentation. The GRAITEC Advance suite is for the most demanding professionals and its ergonomics are designed to make it easy to learn and use.

The Advance suite is based on the implementation of a digital model (BIM / Building Information Model). This technology associates each real object to its virtual equivalent in the digital model and users have the opportunity to simulate the behavior of the real structure and automate many processes. With open BIM standards, Advance can also be used with the Autodesk Revit suite for the structural analysis and design and document creation of models created in Revit.

Version 2012 represents a key milestone in the development of GRAITEC. In fact, the new Advance Steel software architecture allows it to work without an AutoCAD license. This innovation frees up AutoCAD licenses for other uses in the design offi ce. In addition it offers an economic advantage to companies without AutoCAD licenses or that do not have updated AutoCAD licenses.

Major investments were made to simplify usability and improve the performance of our solutions. GRAITEC also continues to introduce new design codes to meet the productivity and quality demands required by a market increasingly more international.

Advance Steel 2012Advance Steel 2012 main focus is to offer users the freedom to use Advance Steel with or without AutoCAD. Advance Steel 2012 includes its own graphics engine allowing the user to select the desired CAD platform. Version 2012 improves user effi ciency and productivity thanks to several new functionalities such as more automatic connections and the option to group similar connections to manage and change them in a single operation. Advance Steel 2012 also provides greater control and better coordination with preliminary reference marks improving the traceability of elements from their creation to manufacturing along with a new BIM control center.

Advance Design 2012Internationalization is a major theme of version 2012 of Advance Design with the implementation of the American design codes for steel and concrete and several new National Appendices to the Eurocodes.This version also allows users to go further in the application of the Eurocodes with its many additional features: management of buildings open to the wind, design of timber structures to EC5 or calculation of cracks as a function of applied reinforcement to EC2.Advance Design 2012 is the indispensable tool for the design of large scale projects.

Advance Concrete 2012With Version 2012, signifi cant work was done reworking the software architecture and optimizing performance. This results in a signifi cantly higher ease of use and increased effi ciency for users. Version 2012 also improves rebar detailers effi ciency with improved tools for placing rebars and fabrics in identical elements, new options for visual representation and better control of elements as well as new Bill Of Material options.Advance Concrete 2102 also has much better interoperability thanks to several new features such as DWG export in batch and improved DWF export.

Advance SteelAdvance Steel is the industry’s most modern and efficient structural steel modeling, detailing and fabrication software available today. It can deliver structural steel projects of any type and size including industrial and commercial buildings, bridges, stairs and railings. From the model the software automatically creates all drawings (general arrangement drawings, workshop drawings, etc.), BOMs and NC files.

Choice of graphical platform and improved ergonomicsHistorically based on the AutoCAD platform, Advance Steel 2012 allows users to use their software with or without AutoCAD. In fact, the product includes its own graphics engine, and the user can select the desired CAD platform. Regardless of the selected platform, all the essential functionality of the software is retained, as well as DWG ® compatibility.This major change has also allowed GRAITEC to simplify the user interface by focusing on and organizing the industry specific functionality of the software and the BIM integration.
