Masaraga Volcano (Advanced)
Mayon Volcano (Intermediate) Step foot on the Philippines’ most active volcano and the world’s most symmetrical volcano – Mayon Volcano. Mayon Volcano is undoubtedly the icon of Bicol and is the most famous of the 7 volcanoes of the region. Different trails and trekking options are available depending on your trekking skills. Enjoy the lush greenery, climb up the hardened lava, and be awe-stricken by the amazing view of the Pacific Ocean, the surrounding towns, and the famous mountain peaks of the Bicol region. Three trek options are available – Day Trek, Overnight Trek, and 3D2N Crater Trek.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Mayon Volcano is an active volcano and may close anytime due to excessive activity. Alternate trek option will be made if in case authorities will not allow entry to Mayon.
Mount Masaraga is a forested, sharp-topped, mountain with an elevation of 1,328 meters. Of all the volcanos in the Bicol region, Masaraga has the closest shape to that of Mayon. Of all the available treks offered, Masaraga is the most technical and is the most challenging because of its steep and rocky slopes. This trek is suggested for advanced trekkers only. To local mountain guides, Masaraga is know for "peaks of deception" as it has several sharp points which one will think is already the crater, but to find out that there is still more to climb. The Masaraga trek is an overnight activity.

Malinao Volcano (Intermediate) P A G E 8 V O L C A N O E S A N D T R E K S
Malinao at its highest point is at 1500 meters above sea level. The crater can be reached in a 3 day and 2 night trek. It has a relatively large crater with the highlight of your trip walking on the crater’s rim.. Malinao has no known eruption in recorded history but is known for being the source of electricity generation (Tiwi Power Plant). Locals say that the Malinao used to have hot springs but since the pow-er plant was made, these hot vents have no longer been active. Malinao meaning “clear” is known for
the free flowing water on its slopes and the cool and clear water pools.
The first day will consist of 3 to 4 hours of trekking just to set-up camp and to enjoy the scenery, the 2nd day will be the most eventful as you head to the crater before heading back down to camp. The third day will be a 3 to 4 hour trek back down as you say good by to Malinao Volcano. The Malinao Trek squeezed into as an over-night trek but this will be starting very early on the first day and you must be an ad-vanced trekker to be able to do the activity on a faster level pace.
A jewel of the Sorsogon province, the Bulusan Volcano Natural Park (BVNP) is a collection of ecosystems and human life working in harmony. Declared as a National Park in 1935, BVNP is the old-est National Park in the Philippines. In this 3,763 hectare area you will find an active volcano, a virgin rainforest, waterfalls, springs, and crater lakes and flora and endemic to Bulusan and the Philip-pines. As you climb up the volcano, you will have some of the most breathtaking views of the ocean, the sea of clouds, and the sun-rise. At the end of your trek, you will have the chance to visit local communities that live at the base of the volcano. Here you will find local bee farms and cottage industries of karagumoy handicrafts and local snack delicacies like Pili sweets and Taro Chips.
The shores of Bacacay house among the best black volcanic sand beaches in the Philippines. And just off the coast are beautiful white sand islets with turquoise and emerald waters. One of these island is Manaet which houses Manaet mountain. This is the easiest and most and relaxed trek of all our options. This is also the only trekking activity where you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling on the beaches and islands. The view of Mayon Volcano, the Pacific Ocean, and nearby islands is spectacular from the top. There is also a small fishing village where you will be more than welcome to take a stroll and to see the locals doing their daily tasks. Feel the close knit community ties and the happy life of simple living.
For those looking for a unique overnight activity, set up camp on the top of Manaet mountain and enjoy the tropical sunset and sunrise.

The road to Barangay Tuba is dirt road and transportation to the area is still quite crude. Be prepared.

While in Donsol, another adventure awaits you—a visit to the Quitinday Cave. This adventour is recommend for those that are ready to rough it out! Aside from the 45 minute journey by motorcycle through a dirt road, the activity in itself is quite a chal-lenge. The cave has been known to the locals for many years but has only been open to visitors recently. Since the cave is below sea level, the walk down to the cave is quite steep and slippery as water constantly flows through. The rock formations are astounding and the cool water is refreshing. After visiting the cave, you can also visit nearby Quitinday Falls. The falls is a popular destination among young locals especially during weekends, so the area of the falls can be a bit crowded, but still worth visiting.

For an enjoyable day out at sea, spend the day snorkelling at Panumbagan Sandbar. Here you will snorkel in Pilar’s marine sanctuary which is also an area where sea urchins (uni) and sea grapes are cultured for food. Harvest sea urchins and sea grapes for a fresh snack and a chance to eat out in the “wild”. In addition to snorkelling at the nearby reef, your guide will take you to see a small cave. For those willing to stay out until the later afternoon, there is a small area where hundreds of egrets gather to meet the sunset.
This is 5 to 6 hour activity with boat, guide, registration fees, snorkelling equipment, packed lunch, and refreshments.
