C O N T E N T S The 21st century already has seen significant changes in the global construction

industry. The traditional demographics and differentiators are no longer. The

Middle East, China and India are the new centers of the global construction

market. Consolidation has created fewer and larger global construction

companies. Currency fluctuations and shortages of labor and material are

putting added pressure on contractors.

Dong Ah Construction, since its establishment in 1945, has demonstrated great

ability in the domestic and international construction market. The company

began with major civil engineering projects in constructing dams, harbors,

highways, land reclamation projects and landfills. Later activities expanded to

include projects such as thermal and nuclear power plants. Dong Ah was a

significant force in the expansion of the Korean economy and did much to

improve the lives of the Korean people through social and urban projects.

Water/waste projects and other environmental construction helped to broaden

Dong Ah’s market. The success of its domestic operations provided the impetus

for expansion overseas and led to execution of major overseas civil construction

projects in the Middle East and Africa, particularly in Saudi Arabia and Libya.

Dong Ah also did major projects in S.E. Asia. The company looks with renewed

confidence to the 21st century with strong corporate core values and a clear

vision of our mission.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Today’s world is full of new construction challenges. Demand and competition require innovation and

commitment. The concern for the environment requires that sustainability be an integral part of our performance.

Dong Ah Construction is “aiming high” in our commitment to be a global partner that can meet any challenge. Our

domestic operations will provide the solid base so essential to support international projects. The business

systems, construction technology, safety programs and the corporate core values of quality and training must be

firmly established, maintained and improved to ensure consistency and credibility globally.

Dong Ah Construction is now a member of The Prime Group. We are a leading developer in Korea and continue to

be active in planning, financing, engineering and construction. The Prime Group is involved in a wide range of

commercial and retail projects as well as technology / IT developments and urban improvement schemes.
