INNOVATION / FLOOR COVERINGS
Domotex (Hannover) 12th to 15th January 2013 DICKSON® unveils its first woven flooring collection
Dickson®, the world’s leading manufacturer of technical textiles gives the world a sneak preview of its first
woven flooring collection at the Domotex trade show in Germany. After five years of serious research,
Dickson has invented a revolutionary floor covering woven from one-of-a-kind, round vinyl threads with
incomparable technical performance. Comfortable, durable, easy to install and clean, skidproof, rotproof...
this remarkable collection is available in 30 different styles to fit all decorating preferences. Taking
advantage of its French production site’s world renowned expertise, Dickson® aims to establish this trend-
setting innovation as the benchmark for contemporary designers’ flooring preference, a solution that is
also fully in line with today’s sustainable building and decorating objectives.
Material that’s both practical and elegant Dickson’s woven flooring combines the exquisite look and feel of natural textile with the convenient advantages of vinyl. The clever play with mono chromatic and two-toned fibres, as well as warp and weft combinations structure the collection into four distinct ranges: Be Easy / Be Smart / Be Natural / Be Different. This first collection includes a total of 30 refer-ences for unlimited creativity and visual effects. This vast palette can be used for countless interior decorating needs, in residential or public venues such as hotels, offices and stores. Woven with revolutionary vinyl fibres and combined with an ultra high performance back-ing, Dickson’s floor coverings are extremely tough-wearing. The entire collection has been approved for heavy commercial use (33 classification), the highest category for textile flooring. Waterproof, rotproof and ultra-stable, they are suitable for all kinds of applictions, including bathrooms and kitchens. Even when exposed to intense sun, the colours remain vibrant year after year. They have been successfully proven effective in fireproof testing to meet European as well as American standards (EN 13501-1 and ASTM E 648, respectively).
