OPLATKI (CHRISTMAS WAFERS) Many American families of Polish and Lithuanian descent keep alive this Christmas custom. The Christmas Eve dinner is highlighted by the breaking of the blessed oplatki (resembling Communion wafers) and exchanging best wishes and love. Oplatki is available in the sacristy on weekends and at the Parish Office during the week. Donation for a pack of three wafers is $3.

Extra Second Collections
There are three rooftop furnace units that have cracked heat-exchangers. One of them is still under warranty for parts, but it will cost $6,400 to repair all three. Therefore, to offset some of that expense, there will be an extra collection next weekend, December 21, 2014 & January 18, 2015. Thank you for your understanding.

Simbang Gabi is celebrated in the Philippines in a novena of nine consecutive dawn Masses, to heighten the faithful’s anticipation of the coming of our Savior. Here in the northwest suburban Chicago area we follow this tradition through a series of dawn and evening Masses at several area churches, including our own.
