on call.

PATIENTS RESPONSIBILITIES (i) “Understanding his Rights & exercise those

with responsibility & reasonability”(ii) “To understand available mode/ alternative of

treatment ,Risk Vs benefits, Success rate, Costs and give CONSENT and accept all consequences of own informal decision”

The damages (that is amounts of compensation) are colossal. The doctors insure themselves and premiums are very high and these have to be passed on in fees to the patient. Experienced practitioners are known to have refused to treat serious/complicated cases for fear of being accused of negligence. Young men are even deterred from entering to profession because of the risks involved. In the interest of all, we must avoid such consequences in England.
