Cont.~ CID 747• Proposed Resolution:
Add the following parameter description
Add to 6.2.1.2.3

CID 1466• Comment: At page 68, line 27: What is the meaning of “a
compliant device” in this sentence?
• Response: Accept in principle
• Proposed Resolution: Note: a similar terminology has been used in IEEE 802.15.4a-2007. Change to
“For the frequency bands 902-928 MHz and 2400-2450 MHz, the MR-O-QPSK PHY supports a co-alternative spreading mode during the PSDU part, called multiplexed direct sequence spread spectrum (MDSSS). For those frequency bands, a compliant device to this PHY shall support at least one of the spreading modes.

CID 469, 1468, 1502• Comment: Add frequency bands
– 950-958 MHz (Japan)
– 470-510 MHz (China)
• Response: Accept in principle
• Proposed Resolution:
– Consider reusing and slightly adopting the narrow band DSSS specification of the 868-870 MHz band (Europe), since there are similar regularity requirements for all bands.

Cont.~ CID 469, 1468, 1502• Modulation and coding (all bands i.e. China, EU, Japan):
– Chip rate: 100 kchip/s (was 125 kchip/s in D1)
– Modulation: RC-0.8 O-QPSK
– SHR coding and spreading: BDE1) + (16,1)-DSSS
– PHR coding and spreading: rate ½ CC + BDE + (4,1)-DSSS
– PSDU coding and spreading: • RateMode = 0 : rate ½ CC2) + BDE + (4,1)-DSSS [12.5 kbit/s]
• RateMode = 1 : rate ½ CC no BDE no spreading [50 kbit/s]
• RateMode = 2 or 3: not supported
1) BDE = Bit Differential Encoding
2) CC = Convolutional Encoding (K = 7)

CID 1496Comment:
Terms like "maximum ratio" and "FER" are confusing in this context. Minimum ISR is misleading too, see Table 75af.
• Response: Accept
Proposed Resolution:
Change to: The interference-to-signal ratio (ISR) is the ratio of the signal power of an
interferer relative to the signal power of the desired signal.

CID 1501• Comment: CCA duration exceeds 20 symbol time which means
slotted CSMA will not work in this PHY.
• Response: Reject • Explanation:
• There is no symbol time defined for the MR-O-QPSK PHY, since it is a multi rate PHY with different spreading rates and modes during PSDU.
• Specified CCA duration (in microseconds) is related to the lowest PSDU data rate, supporting sufficiently reliable Energy Detect (ED) and / or Carrier Sense (CS) performance during any part of the PPDU.
• (Ben Rolfe, please comment on that response.)
