Do You Want to Get Well?Part 12
Psalm 1:1-3 (NIV)1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in
the seat of mockers. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his
law he meditates day and night.
Psalm 1:1-3 (NIV)3 He is like a tree planted by streams
of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not
wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Do You Want to Get Well?
1. The Psalms help to keep us (p)salty.
Psalm 95:1-7a (NIV)1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before him
with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Psalm 95:1-7a (NIV)3 For the LORD is the great God, the
great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to
him.
Psalm 95:1-7a (NIV)5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his
hands formed the dry land. 6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
Psalm 95:1-7a (NIV)7 for he is our God and we are the
people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

2. You are the (p)salt of the earth.
Matthew 5:13a (NIV)13 "You are the salt of the earth.
2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)14 For Christ's love compels us,
because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15
And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for
themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if
anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new
has come!
2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave
us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world
to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has
committed to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)20 We are therefore Christ's
ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be
reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)21 God made him who had no sin to be
sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Mark 9:50 (NIV)50 "Salt is good, but if it loses its
saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and
be at peace with each other."
John 10:10 (NIV)10 The thief comes only to steal and kill
and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
