bookstore, online or at a newsstand, once the reader starts reading, a new relationship develops.

Type and Image should work together to communicate the subject and design concept, working

in a supporting, sympathetic, or contrasting relationship.

Type is your most powerful weapon - use it wisely.You can create beautiful illustrations, graphics and

photography, but if the typeface, styling, sizing and positioning of the typography isn't correct, you lose the

battle -- and the project.

TODAY:1. Open a new document in Photoshop and

begin working on your book cover layout.

2. Make sure to include your name and art major; what tools are best for creating headlines?

3. You should include images that relate to your art major

4. Keep all layers organized (named/color/grouped)
