Model the behaviors we want others (students) to adopt

Define reality and clarify roles/expectations/standards

Develop strategies and solutions

Get the right people doing the right things the right way at the right time

Be accessible, visible, and accountable (doesn’t hurt to be likable, too!)

Ask “What’s on your mind” and “How can I help?” (and then follow-through!)
