INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing BRUNOCO DiVA.

We designed DiVA with the goal of high quality, compact amplifier with musicality which can

fulfill the needs for digital music reproduction as well as analog source.

Many devices with separate functions are required to completely satisfy the needs for high

quality music reproduction. We hope you can avoid the hassle of maintaining many audio

equipments with DiVA and want you to appreciate music itself.

DiVA has all the following functions: · D/A CONVERTER (state of the art 24bit/192kHz) for digital music source

· PRE AMPLIFIER for selecting source, digital volume control and for analog music source

(A/D CONVERTER included)

· DIGITAL EQUALIZER (24 profile preset) for subtle frequency adjustment for your taste and need

· POWER AMPLIFIER (full digital D class) with strong speaker handling capability

By adopting full digital amplifier, we not only achieved our goal of “compactness”, but also

made “eco friendly” amplifier possible because DiVA’s power consumption is very small com-

pared to conventional amplifiers. “Compactness” does not mean just another small, mediocre

quality sounding device. Our emphasis is on “musical, engaging listening experience” and

even though we used state of the art technology, what we wanted and achieved is an integrat-

ed amplifier which you can enjoy music all day long conveniently without fatigue or boredom.

BRUNOCO DIVA is the ultimate digital amplifier with integrated DAC/ADC/EQ for today’s digital

music reproduction needs. All you need is source of your choice (digital or analog), BRUNOCO

DIVA, and a pair of speakers.

BRUNOCO DIVA takes SACD quality music source from computer, iPod/iPhone, CD player,

set-top box, etc. through digital input, and state-of-the-art DAC processes the signal up to

24bit/192kHz, and full digital amplifier amplifies the signal as pure digital format until it is finally

converted to analog waveform right in front of the speakers. Proprietary digital technology

enables this compact amplifier to be able to drive demanding modern speakers. All these

are processed at one swoop and you can enjoy crystal clear, rhythmic, and engaging musical

experience conveniently.

Also integrated in the process is powerful 24 preset digital equalizer, which can be tuned up

easily to your musical preferences like classical, jazz, rock, theater, etc. also occasions like

near field listening, treating room conditions, etc. This digital equalizer does not contaminate

the original signal because it’s full digital, and different from basic base, treble functionalities

of conventional equalizer, precision setting makes it possible to find the ideal setting for your

speakers, room, and your purpose.

The amplifier is as good as the power supply.

We adopted analog power supply for musicality instead of SMPS(switching mode power sup-

ply) which is commonly used to reduce cost and size. Separate transformer supplies good

quality current to the circuit, and oversized reservoir capacitors guarantee rich, pleasant sound.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1 Please read all safety and operating instructions before use.

2 Keep these instructions.

3 Heed all warnings.

4 Do not use near water/moisture or heat source(radiators, heaters, amplifier producing heat, etc).Also avoid direct sunlight or low temperature. Operate unit in good ventilated environment.

5 Clean only with dry, soft cloth. Before cleaning, make sure to disconnect the power cord.

6 Unplug unit during lightning storms or when unused for a long time.

7 Polarized AC plug(two blades with one wider than the other) and three prong AC plug are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit your electrical outlet, an approved adaptor supplying earth ground may be used or consult a licensed electrician.

8 AC extension cord is not recommended. When necessary, be sure to use approved type with sufficient current capacity.

9 If you feel smoke or abnormal smell, immediately unplug unit from the power supply and contact your dealer.

10 When make connections(input from sources or output to speakers), make sure unit is turned off or completely unplug unit from power supply.

11 Use included power adaptor only, which puts out 20~24V AC.

12 NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE DiVA Do not try to repair or modify DiVA, all service should be performed by qualified service personnel.

FRONT PANEL

1 POWER(STAND BY) : Please leave the main power switch on(back panel) and use this button to turn on the amplifier. Press one more time to turn off(stand by mode).

2 INPUT : Each press of the button, changes the input to USB, ANALOGUE(line input), OPTICAL, and COAX continuously.

3 EQ(total 24 preset positions) : Each press changes the EQ position in the following order. Because this EQ’s negative influence on sound quality is minimal, feel free to use actively. · Bass(6 positions) : Controls low frequency only, Bass5 is maximum. · BaMd(6 positions) : Boosts low and mid frequency, making rich sound. · NeFd(6 positions) : Suitable for near field listening, boosts lows and soften highs. · Vivd(6 positions) : Refreshing sound with enhanced resolution.

4 VOLUME – : Each press turns down the volume. Press continuously to reduce the volume fast.

5 VOLUME + : Each press turns up the volume. Press continuously to increase the volume fast. Maximum is 79, please protect your ears and speakers by avoiding too high setting.

6 InfraRed REMOTE CONTROL SENSOR : Remote control has “MUTE” function on the top-right side.

BACK PANEL

1 INPUT · ANALOG : from analog line level sources (ex, iPod analog out, tuner, tape-deck, etc) · COAX : from coaxial digital sources (ex, CD/DVD digital out, CD transport, etc) · OPT : from optical digital sources (ex, CD/DVD digital out, CD transport, etc) · USB : from your computer (desktop or laptop/MS or Mac)

2 SPEAKER OUTPUT : red terminal is +(positive) for speaker cable wiring

3 MAIN POWER SWITCH : please turn on all the time while using DiVA.

4 ADAPTOR : please use included power adaptor only.

5 FUSE : when fuse needs replacement, consult with your dealer.

REMOTE CONTROL

DiVA’s remote control has “mute” function button on the right top side, which is useful when you need to reduce the volume quickly.Other than that, all other function buttons are the same with front panel operation.

USEFUL TIPS

1 BURN-INAt first listening, it is possible that you can feel the sound a little bit harsh.It takes about 60 hours to burn in. Please take your time and enjoy while the amplifier pro-duces better sounding.

2 USB CONNECTIONS

+ WINDOWSYour PC automatically recognizes USB connection as “TE7022 xxx(or DigiHug xxx)”.If your PC does not recognize DiVA, then right click the speaker icon on the right bottom of your PC monitor and select “Audio” tab. And choose “TE7022 xxx(or DigiHug xxx)” as a default setting. Make sure PC(Windows) volume is maximum.

+ MACMacintosh also automatically recognizes the connection as “TE7022 xxx(or DigiHug xxx)”.If not, click on to System Preferences and click on the speaker icon. Under the sound tab, click on to as “TE7022 xxx(or DigiHug xxx)”. Then bring the music program (ex, iTunes) and play music.

3 FOR BEST SOUND QUALITY

· Because of high-quality reproduction capability of Diva, the sound depends on the quality of source material. Please play high-quality music sources if possible.

· Set your PC and Music program volume to maximum and use Diva volume as a master control.

· It’s best to use music program only(avoid multi-tasking on PC) when playing music.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

1 CANNOT TURN ON

Make sure back panel main power switch is turned on(front panel LED turns on as red). Then turn on the power switch on front panel(or depress power switch on remote control). Front panel LED turns to yellow and now Diva is fully functional.

2 TURNS ON BUT NO SOUND

Check if proper input is selected.Check if the input source is on/the source volume is proper.Make sure “MUTE” function is not engaged.

3 LOSE SIGNAL ON THE USB INPUT

Turn off DiVA, reboot your music program(iTunes, WMP, etc), then turn DiVA back on.If it still does not work, turn off DiVA, unplug USB cable, and plug back in, reboot, then turn DiVA back on.

4 If you play too loud or short the speaker cables, protection circuitry may turn off the power. In that case, just fix the causes and power on again.

WARRANTY

DiVA has 1 year Parts and Labor warranty from the time of purchase.

The warranty is subject to following conditions.

1 This warranty is non-transferrable.

2 Defects caused by accident, misuse, exposure to severe conditions like water and heat cannot be covered.

3 Any unauthorized work, modification or service rendered on DiVA will void the wararnty immediately.

4 We will not pay for damage caused to other audio equipments caused by DiVA within the limits of State Law..

5 The warranty does not cover shipping costs nor loss of use.

Warranty Claiming

When claiming, please pack in its original packaging and return to the dealer you purchased from, or if unavailable directly to DiVA distributor.

1 Use only reliable courier services other than postal service.

2 We do not cover damage or loss during transit from the person claiming to dealer, distritor, or service center. So insurance against damage or loss during transportation is recom-mended.

3 During the warranty period, defective DiVA will be replaced with a similar available model,

at no cost to the owner. All parts, labor, and shipping costs will be covered by us.
