In celebration of Diwali people light many small clay lamps called "divas" around their homes to
represent the victory of good over evil and to invite good luck and prosperity from the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi and the God Ganesh, who represents good
luck, wealth and enlightenment.

How to make wonderful Diwali Diva lampSoft clay Sharp knifeWhat you need to do1. First, carefully squash the clay in your hands to
make it warm and soft.2. Next, mould the soft clay into a ball shape.3. Either press your thumbs into the middle of the
ball or flatten it and curve the sides up to make a bowl shape.
4. You can make it round or a tear drop shape.5.Make sure your tea light will fit inside.6. Don’t make the sides too thin or it will break.7. Use a knife to add details on the inside and
outside.8. Leave it somewhere warm to dry.9. Paint it using lovely, bright colours.
