1. Dissemination and Exploitation – overall strategy and plan
Overview
Using its extensive expertise in international dissemination and exploitation (D&E), the LMU
coordinator team will guide and support the WP Dissemination lead partner UM in developing D&E
tools and materials, based on those established for the LMU ENeAGlobal programme. UoS will
support efficient implementation of D&E actions, bringing their experience from the UoS
malnutrition e-learning course. Following the WP6 D&E detailed tasks, roles and responsibilities; we
will jointly ensure that the work is effectively and efficiently implemented.
All consortium and associated partners in Thailand/Malaysia will:
1. Disseminate the project and its e-learning modules
2. Distribute material to target groups using personal/institutional channels, networks and
social media accounts
3. Translate material into Thai and Malay
4. Adapt material to layouts appealing to Thai and Malaysian target groups
5. Write (with LMU support) and publicise articles (print and online) in local/regional and
society journals
6. Write (with LMU support) and issue local/regional press releases involving institutional press
offices and sub-contractors
7. Disseminate information on conferences, symposiums and meetings (e.g. information booth,
flyers, brochures)
8. Embed the project into special event activities (e.g. Children´s Day, Breastfeeding Week)
9. Facilitate networking with other national/regional agencies (ministries, associations,
societies, universities)
Exploitation of project outputs (see section G1) during/beyond the project lifetime will comprise:
1. All e-learning modules on ENeASEA to be made freely available on the internet, without
access restriction apart from registration as a platform user. This will ensure wide outreach
to all target groups/stakeholders
2. SOPs and Handbooks for junior staff training courses at partner universities will be freely
available for further design and implementation of institutional workshops/courses, e.g.
scientific writing workshops for under/postgraduate students
3. Teaching classes addressed to multipliers from different regions in Thailand/Malaysia and in
SEA as face-to-face blended learning courses. Multipliers could be persons responsible for
institutional, in-
4. House staff education and qualification programmes at clinics (see details in WP6)
5. Holding regular meetings/conferences about early life nutrition to facilitate knowledge
exchange in this area
6. Professional associations (e.g. Thai/Malaysian Society for Paediatrics) will use ENeASEA as
qualification programmes for sub-specialisation of their members (see also measures for
sustainability). Through close collaboration with ESPGHAN and its global professional
page 4 / 43 ENeA SEA – project number 573651-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP www.enea-sea.eu
network and close connection to policy makers even beyond Europe, ENeASEA curriculum
and contents will feed into setting new and highly qualified standards for CME in the field.
Collaboration with following associations/institutions (in addition to associated partners) will support
above actions:
APIYCNA (Asia pacific infant and young child nutrition association)
International Life Sciences Institute Southeast Asia Region (ILSI SEA Region)
Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) governmental organisations
Centre for Continuing Medical Education Thailand
Medical Council of Thailand
Breastfeeding Foundation of Thailand
The ESPEN (The European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism)
A number of different professional associations have actively contributed to WP 1 preparation to
provide information regarding the needs of HCPs in the field, existing CME / CPD programmes and
lack of contents in available curriclua. The findings are essential to further design the ENeA SEA
content of modules and their integration into existing residency programms and existing CME / CPD
programmes (see all deliverable reports in WP1). The associations are continously being involved as
important stakeholders throughout the project. Personal contacts have been established and
intensified.
Those are shown in the graphic below:

2. Description of Work Package 6: Increasing awareness and exploiting ENeA SEA output
Summary
In order to generate awareness and to widely disseminate project results to relevant target groups and stakeholders and thus meet the main objective, communication measures will be implemented via different channels. This multi-layered approach ensures a wide dissemination and exploitation of project results.
Objectives:
Main objective: To generate awareness and to widely disseminate project results to relevant target groups and stakeholders (see Part G of this proposal)
Sub-objective 1: Emphasize project funding and programme embedding in the Erasmus+ initiative Sub-objective 2: Create and increase interest in ENeASEA Sub-objective 3: Inform and promote ENeASEA activities among specific target groups in Thailand and Malaysia Sub-objective 4: Build a sustainable reputation among stakeholders in Thailand and Malaysia Sub-objective 5: Establish and expand ENeASEA community
Task 6.1 Development of Corporate Identity Materials
Related sub-objectives 1-4; Partners involved: LMU, Thai and Malay Partners; Start - end date: 1-3
With the input of all project partners the coordinator will develop corporate identity materials which will be made available to all partners (Corporate Identity Toolkit).
The CI Toolkit will include:
• ENeASEA Banner in English, Thai/ Malay (graphical designer to be subcontracted for animated logo version). The ENeASEA banner will be crosslinked to all partners’ and associated partners’ websites. Further crosslinking with related projects or institutions in the field will be aimed at. By the end of the project, minimum number of 30 crosslinks will be achieved.
• ENeASEA Logo (graphical designer to be subcontracted for animated logo version) and a guideline on how to use the project logo, Erasmus+ Logo and the acknowledgement of funding (LMU).
• Templates for documents (PowerPoint presentation, poster, letterhead) for project related communication (LMU).
• Printed/ online project leaflet which will be conceptualized in English (LMU Munich) and translated into Thai and Malay by partners (animated web-flyer design by a professional graphic designer and printing of folded print flyers will be subcontracted). The leaflet will present the project and its objectives, and will be distributed at relevant conferences in the SEA region (preferably as insert into delegate bags) by all partners, including associated partners.
• FAQ (Frequently asked questions): a compilation of frequently asked questions regarding ENeASEA project as an EU-funded project will be made (LMU) and reviewed by all consortium partners. The FAQ sheet will be made available online and for download on the
page 6 / 43 ENeA SEA – project number 573651-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP www.enea-sea.eu
project website. The partners will translate the finished PDF document into Thai and Malay. As the project progresses, the document will be updated accordingly. Purpose of the FAQ sheet is to inform the target group and the wider public about EU project ENeASEA.
Deliverable D6.1: CI material toolkit (LMU) Milestone M6.1: all elements of this toolkit ready for use Performance indicator: elements widely used by all consortium partners Relationship / linkages: the toolkit will be relevant for all communication and presentation purposes Task 6.2 Development, implementation and maintenance of project website
Related sub-objectives 1-5; Partners involved: LMU, Thai and Malay Partners; Start - end date: 1-4
An external project website will be conceptualized (LMU with input from Thai and Malaysian partners especially regarding cultural adaptation), implemented using established IT infrastructure and content management systems (Typo3), and maintained by the LMU coordinator team. The website will be made available in three languages: English, Thai and Malay (translation by Thai and Malaysian partners). This approach ensures cost efficiency and the use of existing knowledge and experiences.
The project website will feature all aspects of the project such as objectives and phases, detailed description of all partners and associated partners, work areas, main results, publications and crosslinks to other relevant websites such as other Erasmus + projects in the field of e-learning, medical education and related societies in the field of early nutrition and lifestyle.
Also, a networking corner for the target group (medical doctors in practice in South-East Asia) will be implemented where meetings of interest to the target group (e.g. related conferences or open-for-public parts of ENeASEA biannual meetings and satellite workshops) are listed. The outreach of the website will be measured via Google Analytics™ (by LMU). A subcontracted IT professional company will support the in-house setup and maintenance of external project website by embedding non-standard technical web-elements e.g. flash animations (adaption to cultural preferences in SEA).
Deliverable D6.2: external project website (LMU) Milestone M6.2: website freely accessible Performance indicator: increasing number of visitors to the website Relationship / linkages: the website will serve as the basis and reference of all be communication and presentation actions Task 6.3. Development and distribution of an “e-Newsletter series“
Related sub-objective 1-5; Partners involved: LMU, Thai and Malay Partners; Start - end date: 6-36
An e-Newsletter series (twice a year, a total of 5 newsletters) will be incorporated to inform about project news, achievements, publications and other related and useful information to stakeholders using the already existing dissemination database (LMU coordinator team) (currently close to 7,000 contacts). Established IT infrastructure and ready-in-place distribution channels will be used, thus keeping the investment for this task as minimal as possible. Using a professional newsletter distribution company (Cleverreach) ensures compliance to European data protection policies (including opt-in procedures). This cannot be done by any of the consortium partner IT departments. The consortium and associated partners will also send out the newsletters within their institutions as well as their wider professional network.
page 7 / 43 ENeA SEA – project number 573651-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP www.enea-sea.eu
Deliverable D6.3: biannual e-newsletters (LMU) Milestone M6.3: newsletters circulated twice a year Performance indicator: increasing number of readers of our newsletters Relationship / linkages: relevant to whole project awareness Task 6.4 Generation and dissemination of articles
Related sub-objective 1-5; Partners involved: LMU, Thai and Malay Partners; Start - end date: 1-36
Articles about ENeASEA, also highlighting related publications arising at consortium partners will be written and publicized in different journals (magazines for health care professionals, local journals of clinics etc., a minimum of 2 articles in Malaysia, 2 articles in Thailand) (LMU Munich to deliver general project parts, Thai and Malaysian partners to write specific parts). Suitable journals will be identified and contacted by the respective partner, and submitted for publication. In case of articles reporting on evaluation outcomes, ethics approvals will be referred to.
The articles will be brought to the journal’s attention by the local partner’s network.
Wherever suitable, ENeASEA will be announced in the context of related press releases issued by consortium and associated partners. In this case, close collaboration with consortium partners’ press offices will be established using their distribution channels.
Deliverable D6.4: articles published (CU) Milestone M6.4: first two articles published Performance indicator: articles accepted for publication in high level journals Relationship / linkages: relevant to whole project awareness Task 6.5 Implementation of social media activities
Related sub-objective 1-5; Partners involved: LMU, Thai and Malay Partners; Start - end date: 1-36
The already established ENeAGlobal Twitter Account ENA@EarlyNutrition (https://twitter.com/EarlyNutrition) with several hundred followers will be integrated into the website landing page, showing the tweets and retweets of @EarlyNutrition. All partners will be encouraged to send tweets in English, Thai or Malay to LMU team to also spread information about ENeASEA specific information (in English, Thai and Malay).
For the ENeASEA project, a dedicated Facebook page will be set up and managed (LMU with content support from Thai and Malaysian partners), announcing latest news, project developments and activities and related research findings. Thai and Malaysian partners will be encouraged to present themselves and their involvement in the project. For dissemination purposes and collection of relevant information to be posted, all associated partners will be engaged.
Deliverable D6.5: active twitter account and facebook webpage (LMU) Milestone M6.5: social media activities implemented and ready for use Performance indicator: increasing number of followers Relationship / linkages: relevant to whole project awareness

Related sub-objective 1-5; Partners involved: LMU, Thai and Malay Partners; Start - end date: 1-36
In relation to project meetings, a number of different dissemination activities will be implemented. For each meeting, co-funding in the form of sponsoring e.g. from industry / pharmaceutical company, will be sought for (for coverage of room rents and catering costs).
Kick-off meeting in Munich:
Videos will be made and placed on a dedicated video corner on the external website and on YouTube (LMU):
• One video to introduce the project overall with its workplan and objectives, and consortium setup • 7 short video clips where the partner institutions describe their role in the project, the objectives and expected outcomes The whole production needs to be done by a subcontracted company (standard contractor of eUniversity LMU) since subtitles in Thai and Malay will be included.
Bi-annual meetings 1-4:
At each biannual meeting, a number of status and breaking-news interviews with consortium experts will be video-taped and placed on the external website and on YouTube.
Final conference in Bangkok:
A press conference will be held, aiming to involve journalists from Thailand and Malaysia (if possible also from other SEA countries) presenting the final achievements of the project. Experts from the consortium will be available for questions and answers, and for short expert interviews to be video-taped. If additional sponsoring funds can be collected, this final conference can be opened to a wider stakeholder audience, not just involving consortium and associated partners.
Deliverable D6.6: videos and press conference (CU) Milestone M6.6: first set of videos produced at kick off conference and available on the external project website Performance indicator: numbers of viewers of videos, comprehensive press clipping results Relationship / linkages: relevant to whole project awareness

Paper Title: Mass Customization in Continuing Medical Education: Automated Extraction of E-
Learning Topics
Link: https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007%2F978-3-319-66610-5_66
Description:
The paper is aimed at describing the process of Mass Customization aimed at classification of a
collection of lessons into dedicated groups. Personalization of content is necessary when a large
number of students are using a learning platform. However, a mechanism that customizes the
content for each individual is not feasible. Thus, the Mass Customization idea was imported from
industry, which aims at developing personalized products, but with the focus on groups instead of
individuals.
For this approach, an open questionnaire was provided to a group of people involved in the learning
platform. They were asked what they would like to learn in the field of early nutrition and lifestyle.
With the help of ReaderBench, a Natural Language Processing framework, the most relevant topics
of the provided answers where extracted. Having a list of initially specified groups and the answers
belonging to personnel employed within these fields, a Principal Component Analyses grouped them
into two disjoint groups of interest: lecturer/nutritionist/pediatrician and dietician/doctor-in-
practice. This groups allow the Early Nutrition eAcademy members to know their target and to focus
their learning materials according to the two identified groups.

Paper Title: Curricula Customization with the ReaderBench Framework
Link: Not yet available
Description:
This paper describes a Mass Customization plugin implemented within a Moodle platform aimed at
providing personalized learning materials according to students’ interests. The plugin takes as input
data the experience level of the student, their topics of interest, the type of materials required to be
provided and a detailed description of the topics they would like to learn about. The plugin also
allows the enabling of the Continuous Medical Education (CME) points, which helps at calculating
how can the recommended lessons help within the medical career. These input data are sent to a
dedicated endpoint implemented within the ReaderBench Application Programming Interface. The
server-side algorithm filters the list of lessons based on the type of materials, the user’s expertise
and the topics of interests. If the CME option was enabled, a score of minimum 5 for the remaining
lessons has to be retrieved. Then, the free text input describing in detail user’s topics of interest is
compared with the lessons’ descriptions and only the ones with a threshold higher then 30% are
preserved. If CME was enabled, the score is computed again and a minimum of 5 points is required.
The final lists of lessons consist the recommended lessons. To these, the pre-requisite and post-
requisite lessons (which are set up) are appended. The results are then shown within the Curricula
Customization plugin and the user has the ability to add these courses to his Personalized Curricula.

5. Exploitation, Sustainability and Impact – Plan and Actions
Overview
Embedding ENeASEA into the ENeAGlobal Moodle platform will guarantee sustainability. The platform is constantly being updated with new dissemination activities to drive traffic to the site and increase user numbers. During the project lifetime, we aim for European CME accreditation of all ENeASEA e-modules as a basis for future local CME application in Thailand/Malaysia (based on detailed analysis of the CME systems, requirements and processes, in WP1 Preparation). This will enable embedding of ENeASEA outputs into existing and new education qualification systems and programmes. Spin-off projects to implement these actions will be set up and funding sought (e.g. succeeding Erasmus+ applications, proposals to industry, donations, NGOs). Within the project lifetime, we will pave the way for sustainability processes: Undergraduate Education Programmes: Embedding the modules and distance learning formats of ENeASEA in undergraduate education programs gynecology /obstetrics, pediatrics, nutrition, health care etc.) at partner country institutions as inter-faculty ambitions: sustainable integration of contents into accredited (ECTS) undergraduate education curricula at the espective universities. Joint certificates in Higher Education (HE): Development of joint HE certificates (“Early Nutrition and Lifestyle Specialist”) issued by LMU in collaboration with Thai/Malaysian university partners: we will evaluate the need/interest for such certificates, taking account of willingness to pay a fee for such certification, within the detailed needs assessment (WP1 Preparation). Embedding into national / regional residency and specialization programs: Associated partners will develop and implement the embedding of ENeASEA in
- Gynecologic, obstetrics and pediatric residency programs and qualifications in Thailand, Malaysia and the SEA region
- Nutritionist/dietician specialization programs Adaptation and conceptualization of ENeASEA to other Health Care Professionals: Expansion and adaption of ENeASEA to other target groups (e.g. nutritionists, nurses, midwifes, pharmacists, including translation into local languages) will be an important next step to maximize the impact and reach of the project results, through application for co-funding after the project lifetime.
Actions already taken and future plan
At the last consortium biannual meeting in Kuala Lumpur, the PSC and SCP boards have in detailed discussed first steps and concrete measures to pave the way for exploitation and sustainability. The following items have been discussed:
• Embedding of ENeASEA modules in professional associations CME / residency programs
page 40 / 43 ENeA SEA – project number 573651-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP www.enea-sea.eu
• CME / CPD accreditation • Establishing joint university certificates for professional qualification: open access to modules
but fee for certificate? • Local SEA language on the platform should be initiated now? • Future roll-out plan in SEA countries • Fundraising? • ENeA SEA translation of modules into Thai / Malay? • Need for Exploitation and Sustainabilty lead in SEA
Technical sustainability of the ENeA SEA platform:
• ENeASEA Server hosting by LMU • Mirror server for high data elements (e.g. videos) locally in SEA: University of Malaya • How to ensure continous user support beyond project lifetime and server maintenance? ->
mid term: primary hosting by LMU Munich in the framework of ENeA Global, server mirroring at University of Malaya (plus high data volume content)
First agreements have been made:
Take up existing projects and develop collaborations
Develop feasibility plan as the project is only funded for 3 years
Essential to have CME accreditation- still a long process to provide everything in the right format so needs to begin soon
Joint-university certificates: need to leverage the first steps here
Are people happy to pay a fee?: This is more likely when the programme is recognised as a brand
Suggestion: start with nutrition societies
Need to get MoH on board first
Secondly roll out to undergraduate: every student that takes a course in paediatrics must get a certificate first- how do we do this?
IP: If this goes online it is open to everyone. We want to make it open for everyone but they should be able to not be able to copy it.
Everyone should be able to access and use it but you must request permission.
Need to be a proper copyright protection - who owns it, who hosts it and who provides support - need to consider this as a longer term perspective
Fundraising: need to consider resources to fund SEA after project lifetime - for discussion
Consenus: English as only language of platform and modules sufficient now Actions to be taken:
University of Malaya for Malaysia (Prof.Chirk-Jenn Ng): Uptake of our modules into residency programs (Pediatrics Assiciation); Prof. Christopher Boey: CME accreditation coordination in Malaysia, incorporation into University of Malaysia postgraduate trainings and medial curricula
Thailand, Assoc. Prof. Ladda Mo-Suwan: uptake of our modules into residency program of Royal College of Pediatrics
Thailand, Assoc. Prof. Sirinuch Chomtho: CME accreditation coordination in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University credits

Roll- out action into Southeast Asia: spin-off project to make ENeA SEA available to Indonesia:
Capitalizing on the established ENEASEA platform, we plan to extend this eLearning platform for use by
the INDHCP community, with inclusion of local recomemndations and blended with case based F2F
training. We collaborate closely with Univ. of Indonesia (UoI) and the professional associations of
obstetricians/gynecologists (IOG) and paediatricians (IPS). In addition, we aim a closely collaborating
with the Ministry of Health (Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia) which has already been
personally discussed with officials. Co-funding for this roll-out action is currently being sought for
(Else Kröner Fresenius Stiftung, https://www.ekfs.de/de/ausschreibung-humanitaerer-preis-2018/).
Indirect benefits of the project to SEA society:
In the context of our WP 5 Quality and evaluation activities in the project, a detailed evaluation and
