What is Satori?

Satori is a Japanese word that means sudden flash of understanding or enlightenment. It is what participants say happens in our experiential learning sessions and what we are dedicated to providing. Larry Hampton

The SAMA program focuses on preventing aggression from becoming physically harmful. The emphasis of the course is on using the Assisting Process in all interactions and is demonstrated in all four programs.

Do not assume prior knowledge because of their age.

We may need to stay at this step for awhile. We may need to introduce symbolic representation of what these words we are saying mean. Pairing your words with a visual will help the child have a concrete way to think about the emotion. One the child has been exposed to this pairing, begin to offer a choice.
