which is why Discovering Enterprise work closely with teachers,

schools, awarding bodies and local businesses to ensure that we

provide a specialised range of programmes and products focused on

enterprise and in novation.

We offer programmes that can be incorporated into the nationalcurriculum and that are based upon EDUCATE, our own unique

framework developed specifically to focus on students development.

Students and teachers are able to experience workshops which

focus on providing real life skills including public speaking and

basic finance, as well as business start up advice. We also work

alongside Head Teachers providing advice and help to enable thei r

lecturers and teachers to incorporate enterprise into the classroom.

innovation that have been tried and tested by education specialists

and our own panel of business experts. We are strong believers in

being able to walk the talk and know from experience that in order

to create valuable programmes we have to use a combination of

business expertise, curriculum basics, theory and practical elements,

all of which result in being able to provide students with the most

relevant, real life skills and a solid understanding of enterprise.

As well as our enterprise programmes we provide a number of

workshops which we can make bespoke for your school or college, we

have found that by working closely with your teachers we can create

a day that is both memorable and beneficial for both students and

We are passionate about our work with students and from this a re

proud to have created The Discovering Enterprise Mentor Qualification

in partnership with SFEDI. This is available to all sixth forms and

colleges and can be offered as a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification on

the QCF Framework. It provides a combination of modules which

incorporate lessons in enterprise with trai ning on becoming a mentor,

the result will be that your students will be able to provide help and

guidance to the younger year groups within the school and college

on enterprise and innovation.

ur after school club has been designed to run over a term

at any UK primary school using our tried and tested Make ItHappen programme. We understand that teachers are stretched

and that additional clubs can be a drain on resources, this is why we

provide all the equipment, trai ning manuals an d workbooks for every

pupil and can even arrange additional help for each school.

The programme i ncorporates the core curriculum with a blend of

fun and imaginative resources, providing pupils with lessons in pocket

money maths, basic video production, mind mapping, ar t and design

and presentation.

We are currently in the process of licensing the programme in order

to make it even more accessible to young children and are looking

at training our new enterprise leaders in order that they can role this

out in the next few months.

oung Funder is the UKs first crowd funding venture which is

only for children and young adults supported by Discovering

Enterprise, it is available from ages 7-21 and can be accessed by

schools, colleges, clubs and community groups.

In partnership with Start Some Good we have created a venture

which will allow all your students to create their own ideas, run their

own projects and even pitch their first b usiness whilst having the

additional support of our mentors and education specialists. We have

compiled a great range of resources which will provide guidance an d

training on elements such as social media, podcasting, ma rketing and

finance.

Yong Fner Young Funder MagazineThe Young Funder magazine supports our funding venture, your

students will be a ble to access guest ar ticles from a range of

business experts and entrepreneurs, whilst being able to view other

projects and ventures happening across the UK. We always support

up and coming young businesses and students will be able to

follow our chosen Young Panel through their first years in business,

following the highs an d the lows.

We invite writers and experts from around the world to help

contribute to the magazine but most of all we invite your students to

become involved, this is a place for them, a community in which they

can learn, share and thrive.

We know from experience that many businesses struggle with staff

employment, especially with young people who may not necessarily

have the experience skills required for the workplace having

come straight from school or college. We also know that these

young people have a lot to offer, and that with the r ight trai ning,

encouragement and structu re can be an asset to your business.

Youth engagement is a specialised field in which we have been working

for a number of years, creating inducti on programmes for new

employees that ensure a lower turnover of new employees, relevant

training and staff development.

We provide our carefully constructed youth engagement toolkit to

all our clients, this allows not only ourselves but also the cur rent

employees to establish a reas in which we feel they can create youth
