Flexible and Scalable Solutions for LTE Networks and Beyond… The Adax Security Gateway (SEG+) provides the most advanced levels of protection, reliability, and performance mandated by our OEM customers, MNOs and MVNOs. The Adax SEG+ is a small-footprint, low-cost, high-bandwidth, scalable, carrier-grade security solution for 3G and 4G and fixed wireless networks designed for Small Cell Gateways, EPC/vEPC node protection, WiFi access to LTE networks and VAS applications requiring secure communications over insecure internet backhaul links.

The Adax EPC provides a compact, fully integrated, scalable and cost-effective LTE solution for rural broadband access, dedicated in-building or campus networks, Small Cell HetNets, and specialized applications. 5 to 200,000+ simultaneous subscribers are supported and it is equally well-suited for high-bandwidth, high data throughput video streaming applications such as Military and First Responder requirement as to low-bandwidth IoT or M2M applications. Industry-specific remote site mini-networks such as oil and gas pipelines and WiFi access to LTE networks are other popular applications and interoperability with small cells from any other vendor is guaranteed.

Adax vEPC offers a virtual, cloud based EPC configuration option for NFV solutions. Separating the Control and Data Planes allows deployment of remote Data Plane elements managed from a single centralized Control Plane site for even greater flexibility and higher performance. This is an ideal architecture for low-cost service provision for MVNOs and wholesale hosting services to NSPs and MVNOs.

Adax DPI boards and software deliver intelligent Packet Filtering and Packet Processing for superior DPI, pattern matching and analytics providing the perfect platform for VAS, billing and charging, policy enforcement and filtering applications. The Adax Cavium-based ATCA and PCIe packet processing boards support the key functions of DPI, Pattern Matching and Packet Filtering for Dynamic and Static Policy Enforcement for QoS; Online and Offline Charging; Session and Bearer Management; Security; and Analytics required for Network Intelligence applications.

Adax SCTP/T software delivers the robust transport layer for any Diameter stack that LTE needs for reliable, high performance, high capacity signaling. As the number of LTE subscribers and their multiple devices grow so does the number of Diameter transactions and Diameter becomes the bottleneck in LTE signaling performance. Whilst a convenient and seemingly economical solution, the Linux-supplied SCTP for Diameter is simply not up to this task and Adax SCTP/T enables any Diameter stack to meet the growing demands of LTE networks and deliver high levels of customer experience.

The Adax Signaling Gateway (AdaxGW) meets any interworking requirement delivering the link density, scalability, flexibility, throughput, High-Availability and high performance that enables operators to manage the convergence and growth of their networks. Supporting legacy SS7 interfaces to any SIGTRAN Ethernet connection as well as SIGTRAN IP to IP Interworking, e.g. M2PA to M3UA, the AdaxGW can help to maximize revenues, satisfy consumer demands for new services and ultimately protect investment in both traditional SS7 signaling and new IP based networks. Adax SS7 boards and SIGTRAN software modules are also available as individual components as well as part of the Signaling Gateway.

The Adax Advantage30 years ago Adax were the first to offload host-intensive SS7 MTP2 transactions to our board and the highly successful range of Adax HDC SS7 cards was born. Network Intelligence and Deep Packet InspectionThe intelligent Packet Filtering and Packet Processing strengths of the Adax boards and DPI software enable superior network intelligence and provide the perfect platform for Value Added Services (VAS) applications. The Adax Cavium-based packet processing boards support all the key Dynamic and Static Policy Enforcement functions for Network Intelligence; QoS; Online and Offline Charging; Session and Bearer Management; Security and signaling.

By offloading packet and protocol processing and freeing up Host CPU resources the Adax products will improve the performance of all VAS applications including: Traffic Management, Fraud Detection, Parental Control, Bandwidth on Demand, Universal Data Charging, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam and Security, Bill-Shock Prevention, Revenue Assurance and Charging and Billing.

LTE Core NetworkLTE enables faster, more efficient mobile broadband communications and has the capability to deliver big benefits to both the operator and the users. The core components of the EPC are the MME, SGW, PGW, HSS and PCRF and Adax provides a fully integrated, low-footprint, highly-scalable and cost-effective LTE mobility platform supporting up to 200,000 simultaneous subscribers with high data throughput. A user-friendly Element Management System (EMS) can configure the components in any combination.

MNOs and MVNOs, irrespective of their size, need to be able to build out the LTE core network infrastructure in a scalable and cost effective way, whether those resources are located in the central office or the cloud. The Adax EPC provides a complete solution for enterprise, in-building, small-cell and rural networks, and niche markets such as WiMAX replacement, public safety, defence, campus networks and business broadband services. The Adax vEPC is for cloud based NFV solutions and completely separates the Control and Data Plane elements for greater flexibility and higher performance in an even smaller footprint with lower cost.

Network SecurityWith the move to a flatter & more IP-centric LTE architecture new security risks are exposed and as a result LTE is driving requirements for Security Gateways that secure the connection to the core. IPsec has been defined by 3GPP as the security protocol for both control and user plane applications in LTE and where the Operator determines that the backhaul from the eNodeB to the LTE-EPC is ‘untrusted’ the Security Gateway authenticates the users and secures the connection between the radio and core networks.

The Adax Security Gateway implements the most current IPsec security features and pre-integration with the Cavium Octeon II high-speed security processors on the Adax boards provides the hardware acceleration essential for performance-critical security algorithms and protocols. This enables standards-compliant authentication, confidentiality and data integrity, and with hundreds of proven IPsec implementations Adax provides the advanced levels of protection, reliability, and performance mandated by OEM customers, MNOs and MVNOs.

Diameter SignalingLTE is delivering on its promise of mobile broadband data services and with the integration of IMS networks VoLTE is not far behind. As the number of LTE subscribers grows so does the number of Diameter transactions. This exponential growth in signaling demands a reliable, robust and high performing transport layer to maintain the high level of customer experience LTE networks must deliver.

Diameter signaling is a major bottleneck in LTE performance and while a convenient and seemingly economical solution, the Linux-supplied SCTP transport for Diameter is simply not up to this task.
