A serged seam joinstwo pieces of materialwith a thread thatinterlocks. This is aneconomical stitchingmethod for generalapplications. Thisstitching method isgenerally not used forchemical protectiveclothing. It is more

commonly found ondisposable clothingwhere dry particulatesare a concern.

A bound seam joinstwo pieces of materialwith an overlay ofsimilar material and ischain stitched throughall of the layers for aclean finished edge.

This provides increasedholdout of liquids anddry particulates.

A heat sealed seam issewn and then sealedwith a heat activatedtape. This methodprovides liquid proofseams, and is especiallyuseful for Level A andB chemical protectiveclothing.

This is the ultimateand strongest seamthat Lakeland offers.

The seam is sewn andthen heat sealed onthe outside and insideto offer the higheststrength and chemicalresistance.

    Super B Garment Design!

MicroMax 3P is the newest addition to the Lakeland brand of MicroMAX products. The MicroMAX 3P patterndesign features a tailored pattern cut, inset sleeves, elastic back and a double gusseted crotch that allowsunparalleled freedom of movement.

Whats the difference between Super B and competitive products? Competitive non-gusseted coveralls have acrotch dropped lower to allow for reaching without ripping out, and yoke style sleeves put a seem in the chestwhich is vulnerable to chemical penetration. MicroMAX 3P Super B with the double gusseted crotch and insetsleeves eliminates these flaws, the result being a garment designed to fit, and is not just a larger bag.

Perfect for general duty work environments, Lakeland brand MicroMAX 3P utilizes 3 barrier layers to provideand excellent level of protection. Dirt, grease, grime, light liquid splashes, spills and contaminants are noproblem for MicroMAX 3P. Its an excellent economical alternative that provides you with high qualityprotection.

Theres a 3P Cool Suit Version Too!

Like the MicroMAX 3P coverall, the MicroMAX 3P Cool Suit protects against dirt, grease and spills but features

increased breathability with an added spunbond polypropylene back panel. A superb pattern design and anelastic back waist offer improved comfort and f it. Stay cool and protect yourself with MicroMAX 3P Cool Suit.

Note: The MicroMax 3P Cool Suit breathable back panel offers only a light particulate barrier.

Nothing in thispublication is to be considered as a licenseto operate under or a recommendation toinfringe any patent right.

Warnings and LimitationsLakelands garments and products arenot suitable for use in all situations andenvironments with all chemical and hazardousmaterials. All decisions regarding the choiceand usage of chemical protective clothingmust be done by trained and qualified safetyprofessionals in accordance with all OSHAand EPA Rules and regulations. Failure tofollow such regulations absolves LakelandIndustries, Inc. from all liability. It is the usersresponsibility to determine the level ofexposure and the proper personal protectiveequipment needed. It is the employers LEGALRESPONSIBILITY to provide PROPER protective

clothing to employees, and provide adequatecare, use and maintenance of these garmentsas only your employer knows the conditionsunder which the wearer works. Lakeland hasno such knowledge, so ask your employerabout what is required under the law andappropriate to your specific work application.

Lakeland chemical protective ensemblesthat are certified to NFPA 1991 requirean over-cover. The protective over-coverprovides additional protection againstabrasion, cut, tear or puncture, and directflame impingement. (All NFPA compliantInterceptor ensembles utilize specific, multiple glove combinations and specific

boots. All components of the specifiedensemble must be worn to be compliant withthe requirements of this standard.)

Lakeland protective garments will burnexcept where our garments are specificallyadvertised as fire resistant. These garmentsshould not be worn around heat, open flames, sparks or any other possible ignition sourcenor in potentially explosive or flammableenvironments.

If the Lakeland protective garment or

product is abraded, cut, torn, punctured orotherwise and in any way breached, do notuse. The protective garment material has finiteresistance to abrasion, cut, tear and puncture. It is the responsibility of the employer andthe wearer to inspect Lakeland garments orproducts prior to use to insure the integrity of

the products, garments and components. If the Lakeland protective product or garmentare damaged during use, retreat immediatelyto a safe environment, thoroughlydecontaminate the garment, then dispose of itin a safe manner.

Limitations of UseLakeland protective garments are notintended for protection against radiologicalhazards.

If the danger of exposure to biologicalaerosols or chemical warfare chemicals exists, the use of a protective ensemble certified tothe optional Chemical and Biological Terrorism

requirements of NFPA 1991 (2005 Edition) orgarments certified to Class 2 of NFPA 1994should be considered. Each of these standardsprovides different levels of performance.

Chemical Permeation DataBefore using a protective ensemble, garmentsor products in a chemical situation, consult thechemical permeation data appropriate to thegarment or product material. Note that seams, visors and closures will generally have lower ordifferent permeation times than the garmentsmaterial. This information is to be used asa guide only. The permeation performanceof any material depends on a number offactors including chemical concentration,

temperature, time and amount of exposure.Due to the large number of variables, it isimpossible for all ensemble materials tobe tested against all elements, chemicals, all combinations or mixtures thereof, andall temperatures at which the element orchemical might be encountered.

Chemical permeation tests are performedunder laboratory conditions -- not actualworkplace conditions. They addresschemical breakthrough characteristics anddo not account for physical performancecharacteristics that affect a barrier such asabrasion, flex fatigue, puncture, tear, oxidativedegradation, or degraded performance due to

    previous use contaminations.

No single protective material will protectagainst all chemicals for all situations. Thebest course of action is to test the primaryprotective garment materials against thespecific chemical hazard, at the temperatureand in the concentrations to be encountered.Lakeland Industries, Inc. will provide freeswatches of primary garment materials fortesting and can provide you with a list oftesting facilities.

Never Use Pure OxygenThe use of 100% oxygen with these garmepresents serious fire safety and health hazaUse only properly functioning breathingquality, compressed air, air line suppliedbreathing air, or a rebreather system. Note some rebreather systems utilize small oxyg

cylinders, but these do not create enrichedoxygen atmosphere.

Wearing garments made of fire retardantcottons, aramids or modacrylics under orover Lakeland light non-woven, ChemMaxor Interceptor garments will not reduceburn injury during a flash fire. Our productsand garments will burn and possibly meltwhen exposed to flash fire; this is likely toincrease burn injuries even when worn oveflame resistant fabrics. This is also true ofLakeland MicroMax NS, MicroMax NS CooSuit, MicroMax, MicroMax HBF, MicroMax3P, MicroMax 3P Cool Suit, SafeGard,SafeGard Economy SMS, ZoneGard, Rytex

ChemMax and Interceptor line of producand other Lakeland light non-woven fabriclines. However, Pyrolon fabrics and garmenare intended to be worn over fire retardantcottons, aramids and modacrylics.

Therefore users of any of these flammablegarments should not enter an environmentin which the concentration of flammable ga(such as paint fumes, hydrocarbon fumes opure oxygen) has reached a concentrationwhich is within flammable, ignitable orexplosive limits, causing a fire or flash fire.

Simply stated, if there is a flash fire, nothingwill protect you from severe burns or death

Therefore, it is the users responsibility to thbefore working in even a potential flammabgaseous atmosphere.

Lakelands light non-woven fabrics, Chemaand Interceptor line, are not intended forfire fighting activities, nor for protection frohot liquids, steam, molten metals, welding, electrical arc or thermal radiation. USECOMMON SENSE! DO NOT SMOKE, OR UELECTRICAL MACHINERY, AND INSURE UOF PROPER BONDING AND GROUNDINGwhere flammable gas, liquids or solids existAnti-static treatments and coatings are notadequate for all environmental conditions.Static electricity in non-humid or winter

environments can cause a deadly flashfire where flammables are present in theworkplace. Lakelands garments are intendto help reduce the potential for injury, but nprotective apparel alone can eliminate all rof injury. When dealing with fire, heat, or evthe potential of same, look to Lakelands FIRESISTANT/RETARDANT APPAREL LINES
