Submitted to the Director for 'Approval\Placement Policies for
the Academic Year 2010-11:1sl July 2010
I -For B.Tech., M.Tech. (CSE, IS) and M.C.A.:1. The jobs are
categorized as:a. Normal- All IT services (ex.: TCS, Infosys,
Accenture, Cognizant, IBM,Wipro, HCL, etc.),
& Pay Package less than Rs. 4.0 Lakhs,& Students having
CGPA less than 8.0 (for students ~ 8.0, this will be treated as
dream)
b. Dream - All jobs other than Normalc. Open Status: A job
opportunity may be declared Open status based on the profile of the
job / salary
/ availability of students at that point of time. This will be
given only when a company visits for onespecialization. Of course,
the status will be decided by the students of that particular
branch.
d. PSU- Public sector (Govt. or Semi Govt) job2. A student is
allowed to take jobs as per the policies mentioned below:a. A
student holding a Normal job can appear only for a Dream job or an
Open status job.b. A student holding two jobs or an Open status job
is not eligible for anymore placement.c. A student holding a dream
job cannot appear either for a Normal job or for a Dream job.d. A
student can appear for PSU, only if the student is not holding any
offer at the time of appearing.
. e. For a student having two jobs, the job with higher salary
will only be handed over to him/her by thePlacement office.II -For
the rest of Post Graduate Students:
1. All the Post Graduate students will be allowed only for one
job.General Rules & Requlations:
1. Every student has to pay Rs. 400/- in the form of Challan in
the Institute's Account in SBH, NITWarangaland submit a duplicate
copy of the same to avail campus placement opportunities. The last
date forsubmission of Challan is 20th July 2010.
2. Students pursuing their studies under QIP / Part time
category are not eligible for campus placements.3. Studentsmust
carry their Identity card and produce the same whenever demanded by
the RecruitingTeam / Placement Coordinators / Placement Officer
during PPT / Written Test / GD / Interview.4. Students must carry a
printed resume along with two copies of passport photographs while
attendinginterview.5. Students must wear formals (Boys - dark
colored trousers, light colored full sleeve bush shirt and
leather
shoes black/brown in color; Girls - Light colored Punjabi suit)
while attending campus placements.6. Students are not allowed to
interact with the company executives except during the PPT. One
must bring
to the notice of the Placement Officer, if they have any queries
/ doubts.7. Students applying for a job and not attending Pre
Placement Talk I Written Test I GroupDiscussion I Interview as per
the schedule announced or not following any of the above rules
&
regulations will not be allowed for the immediate next
opportunity, for the first time. The studentwill be debarred from
further placements, if he/she is found repeating the same.8.
Students violating any of the above rules and regulations or found
indulging in any act of indiscipline /
misbehavior with the company people thereby earning a bad name
for the Institute will be debarred fromavailing any further
placement facilities and is also liable for strict disciplinary
action as per the Instituterules.
