Coelophysis

• My dinosaur’s name is Coelophysis. Its name means “Hollow form.”

• The Coelophysis lived during The Triassic Period.

• My dinosaur was 9 feet long and weighed 44 pounds.

• A Coelophysis is a carnivore. That means that it only ate meat.

• My dinosaur looked very different from other dinosaurs. It had a long tail, pointed head with dozens of small serrated teeth. Coelophysis has three clawed fingers on its hands and a long neck. It had light, hollow bones.

• One interesting fact about the Coelophysis is a Coelophysis skull from the Carnegie Museum of National History was brought into space in 1998. It traveled to the Mir Space Station.
