Digipak This particular method of promotion is used predominately for CD singles or special edition albums. Conventionally they consist of a book style containing plastic disk holders for the CD’s. This is known generically as a digipak as a soft CD packaging. MeadWestvaco created the first digipak. Although as the format become more and more popular multiple different manufacturers began to use it. When it comes to Geeta Gohil’s she has a clear monochromic colour scheme that she is sticking to. Not only with the digipak but also with the music advertisement poster, and her coursework blog. This technique further intensifies the idea that she is trying to build up suspense and interest with the audience. There is limited writing on the front and back of the digipak which highlights that their focus is to draw the audience’s attention to the artists name, and name of the album.

This particular method of promotion is used predominately for CD singles or special edition albums. Conventionally they consist of a book style containing plastic disk holders for the CDs. This is known generically as a digipak as a soft CD packaging.MeadWestvaco created the first digipak. When it comes to Geeta Gohils she has a clear monochromic colour scheme that she is sticking to. Not only with the digipak but also with the music advertisement poster, and her coursework blog. This technique further intensifies the idea that she is trying to build up suspense and interest with the audience.

There is limited writing on the front and back of the digipak which highlights that their focus is to draw the audiences attention to the artists name, and name of the album.

The gradient used in the text goes from bright red to neutral. This could potentially be a visual representation of the spectrum of music on this album. The colour red holds connotations towards danger and violence, these feelings are further intensified through the dark imagery created through the focus image.

There are two different images of the artist, within both no eye contact is maintained with the audience, this could be further foreshadowing the concept of Geeta Gohil trying to create a sense of suspense, in order to intrigue the audience to buy the CD.
