Our Jolly Gym Program for

children starting Kindergarten in 2021 will be held early next term followed by Mudgee Beginners in

Term 4

Enrolment forms are available from the school office.

Bookings are essential!

Pick up your forms now and don’t miss out on your preferred spot.

Keeping your children safe when dropping off and picking up at school

• Stick to the 40km/h speed limit in a school zone and look out for children who may be about.

• Watch for flashing lights on buses. They let you know that there may be children crossing or about to cross the road. A 40km/h limit applies when school bus lights flash.

• Always give way to pedestrians particularly when entering and leaving driveways

• Always park and turn legally around schools. Manoeuvres such as U-turns and three-point turns are dangerous during busy school drop-off and pick-up times.

• Drop your children off and pick them up on the school side of the road in your school’s designated drop-off and pick-up area. Never call out to them from across the road – they may run to you without checking for traffic.

• It’s safest for children to get out of the car through the Safety Door, away from passing traffic. This is the rear footpath side door of the car.

P&C Special Update

Online Ordering Start Date: Monday

15th June 2020

The P&C is very excited to announce that online

ordering for the canteen using QuickCliq will be

available from Monday 15th June. Online ordering for

the uniform shop will also move to QuickCliq.

QuickCliq is a great online system which makes ordering

lunches so much easier and more convenient. While we

all get used to the system, you will only be able to order

one day in advance but once things are running

smoothly, you will be able to order up to 4 weeks in

advance! Online orders for the canteen will close at

9am each day so please place your order before this

time. It is free to set up an account in QuickCliq and the

program is very easy to use. You can set up an account

now so you are all ready to go next week. A flyer with

full details is attached.

Here’s a quick summary to get you started:

• Register at www.quickcliq.com.au

• Select SIGN UP and complete the registration

form

• Receive a link via email to ACTIVATE your

account then log in to your account

• Select ADD STUDENT, add your child’s details,

select “Mudgee Public School” as their school

and save to your account

• ADD CREDIT to your online wallet before

ordering

• Select MEAL ORDER or UNIFORMS and place

your order – it’s that easy!

Currently, there is a 21c booking fee per transaction.

The P&C is planning to absorb this fee once the

QuickCliq software is updated to allow this. We hope

this will occur in the next few weeks.

Online ordering is encouraged however, orders can

still be written on a paper bag with cash included and

placed in the canteen tub in the classrooms each

morning. Over the counter cash purchases can also

be made for recess food, drinks and ice blocks.

P&C General Meeting with Zoom Link

P&Cs now have permission to have virtual meetings

though where possible, face-to-face meetings are still

the preferred option. The next general meeting will be

a combination face-to-face and virtual meeting and will

take place on Monday 15th June at 6pm in the school

residence with a Zoom link. The meeting will include:

• Nomination and election of casual vacancies

on the executive – treasurer, one vice president

and up to another 4 general members.

• Presentation of the MPS Enrolment of Students

policy by Mrs Rogers

• Nomination and election of a P&C

representative to the enrolment panel to

consider non-local enrolment applications.

• Motions to disband the canteen subcommittee

and the uniform shop subcommittee

Nominations for the vacant positions on the executive

and the enrolment panel are welcomed. At this stage, it

looks like social distancing measures will still only allow

10 people to attend the meeting in person so please

RSVP if you would like to attend the face-to-face

meeting by sending an email to

[email protected]. If you

would like to attend via Zoom, please register via the

link below. All are welcome!
