10: Drink Water and Eat DairyThe body needs water to keep properly hydrated and individuals vary widely in how much water they need.

Joints need it to stay in motion, and vital organs such as the heart, brain, kidney, and liver need it to work

    properly.

The calcium in dairy, on the other hand, is known to be important for strong bones and teeth. Studies have also

shown it can help prevent high blood pressure, kidney stones, heart disease, and colon cancer.

11: Drink TeaThere is some evidence that tea may help in improving memory, and preventing cavities, cancer, and heart

disease. Decafinated is best because cafinated tea can be dehydrating and sugary drinks can lead to weight gain.12: Take a Daily WalkAn eight-year study of 13,000 people also showed that people who walked 30 minutes daily had a significantly

reduced chance of premature death compared with those who rarely exercised, reports the American Council on

    Exercise.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk to the store. Window shop at the mall. Leave your desk and visit your co-worker instead of sending him an email. Walk and talk with friends instead of meeting for a meal.BONUS TIP: Get plenty of fiber in your diet!

    Bigger? Stronger? No Problem!Part 3

    Cant Walk Cant Fight!

Were going to cover the last part of the saying above by getting into,

if he cant move or walk he cant fight. These are the techniques that

immobilize the attacker from further following you or being able to have any

more leverage. Heres a nice low kick technique to show a good way to

    immobilize your attacker.

1)The attacker and Ms. Haley are arguing and

she turns to walk away from the argument.

    2) The attacker attempts to grab her arm to pull

    her back toward him.

    3) Ms. Haley feels his hand and immediately pulls

her hands up into a defensive position and gains

her balance.4) As he approaches again she fires a side kick to

    his front knee.

    5) Causing severe pain and loss of balance making him fall away from her where she can now run away from the

situation.A simple way to detour an attacker of ever wanting to put their hands on you and it will show them you

really didnt want to be touched, handled, or in that argument in the first place. You dont want to stay there and

fight if you have an open door to leave. Kicking out someones knee is a good way to give you that door.Again,

another target that can cause injury no matter how big and strong they are. Remember to train smart and be

safe, and that YOURE WORTH FIGHTING FOR! I want to thank Ms. Haley Whelan and Mr. Anthony Macky, both

are Trainee Instructors, for their time and help.Haley is on my young adult instructor track where she learns to

demo, teach the young children, and helps me in class and is doing an amazing job.Anthony is on the instructor

track where he learns a bit more and is being taught how to help teach both the adults and young childrens class.

    He too is doing great.

Houston indoor airsoft Field is the Tactical Airsoft Training Division of Dark Gift

Combat Fighting System. D.G.C.F.S. trains L.E., Military, special operation teams,Security personal and other state & government agencies as well as soccer moms, dads and alike in hand to hand combat & Now Tactical Airsoft. We have a full selection of inventory as well; including Airsoft BB pellets (ammo),vests, guns, rifles, gas, and batteries. As well as rentals for novice players. Ourrentals are very high end models; electric rifle (Airsoft Eletric Gun).Mrs.Traylor & I always had problems with finding a dependable facility for them toTrain and play Airsoft. There isnt any indoor Airsoft field in Houston, Tx. They aresome that are suedo Airsoft parks, paintball fields that for a day or an event willallow Airsoft. We felt that there was a void, especially in the greater Houstonmetropolitan area. And what better than an indoor Airsoft field, protected from therain, sun, and natural weather conditions. So we set out to create an indoor Airsoftonly field / arena to meet that need.

We also set out to have a facility that Law Enforcement, Military personal and alike

can use to sharpen their skills to better protect us from harm.

A gunfight is CHAOS. Fight like an Israeli, keep your cool and prevail.

America has some pretty tough neighborhoods. Recently, Hurricane Katrina taughtU.S. law enforcement to be prepared for national disaster and violent, armedlawlessness from groups. It is no secret that some criminals want to kill cops andsucceed. In contrast, Israel was the first country to realize that their enemy is fromwithin. Since 1948, Israeli police have been fighting a determined, organized andwell-armed enemy dedicated to destroying the people of Israel and its government.Although Israel has some of the best-trained law enforcement in the world, they toolose many cops each year.I learned ICS from Mike Lee Kanarek, a former Israeli special forces commando, who founded the system of HaganaH. He personally trains many of our militarySpecial Forces, elite federal law enforcement and large department SWAT teams.HaganaH is the evolution of Israeli martial arts and incorporates hand-to-hand skills, ground survival, tactical knife fighting and combat shooting into the system. This is areality-based system that proves true to what we, as law enforcement trainers teachour students. Always go home. I became a certified instructor and sought out Mr.Kanerek and his system because there was no other program that brought all of the

necessary skills together in one package. No other system brings the reality of thestreets to classroom. Unlike most law enforcement training, this system is rooted instress to the trainee.ICS Part 1Israeli Combat Shooting (ICS) is a programmed method of weapons deployment thahas been very successful in Israel for the last few decades. It is designed for close-quarter action and teaches the shooter to draw, cock and shoot a violent offenderin one second or less. If your mindset is weak, you will lose the engagement. Theshooter must be taught to be aware, and if confronted with a violent encounter, make the decision to engage in a direct manner. Violence can only be overcomewith a greater degree of violence. Of course, the shooter must have a perfectintention in order to commit under pressure.Draw, Cock and Shoot

Step 1 is Dry practice and deployed in sets of 7. The footwork is executed bymoving the non-gun foot to the side and forward a step. After 7 repetitions you

add the body position of bending down fifteen degrees forward. In addition, the off hand comes up with the elbow parallelto the floor and in front of the shooters neck/mouth. After 7 repetitions you add gripping the gun in the holster for 7repetitions. We call this step dribbling. The shooter must get a good grip by pushing down and indexing his fingeracross the holster. Step 2 is executed by drawing the gun and raising it to just below eye-level to meet the off hand andkeeping it close to the body. The off-hand grasps the rear of the slide with the thumb up and index finger down. Nowboth elbows must be parallel to the floor and the trigger finger must be pointing at the target. Repeat this for 7.

Israeli Combat Shooting 10Apache Knife 12Good places to go 16

Step 3 is cocking. The strong hand rams the gun forward, turning it clockwise to straighten it out. A round is racked intothe chamber and the pointed trigger finger is merged into the barrel of the gun, pointing at the target. This merger is veryimportant and the forward motion of ramming the gun forward places the shooter into the fight. HaganaH techniquesalmost always move the practitioner into the fight by attacking the attacker. This is repeated for 7.

Smooth is fast.Step 4 is shooting. The decision has been made and the shooter pulls the slack out of the trigger before firing. Repeatthis for 7.Technical adjustments can be made if a shooter is missing their mark. The footwork is important. If the shooterstepped too far forward then he is missing to the right. The opposite is true if he doesnt step far enough forward. If theshooter is missing to the off-hand side and his footwork is correct then maybe he is not pulling the slack out of the triggerbefore firing. Slapping the trigger is common because of the elevated stress levels.Range workIt is important to conduct dry practice through all of the steps for a 2 count prior to shooting. This instills proper musclememory and creates a pyramid of repetition. It is important that all loading be done by an administrative load from thispoint on. Load the magazine with the gun holstered only. After shooting the slide will lock back and the shooter willrelease the slide and pull the trigger (pointing down-range) after each repetition. Note: all head shots are aimed at theforehead.

    12/18

Remember- this is point shooting and the objective is to deploy the weapon, shoot and hit the target as fast as possible.

New shooters need to be acclimated to the technique. They will need only one magazine. On your command, they loadone round into the magazine. On your command, execute the technique and deploy one round to the center of the target(body). Repeat this 50 times. Now it is time to work with three rounds only. This drill is called the Mozambique Drill andcompleted from the bottom to top. Execute the training by instructing the shooters, on your command, to deploy threerounds, one to the body and two to the head. Repeat 30 times on the bottom. Next is the middle. He shoots one roundto the body and two to the head. Repeat this 30 times. The top is shooting all three rounds to the head. Repeat this 30times. Note: place a 9 paper plate on the head of the target. Stress is a vital part of training. It starts with the elephantdrill. Place two paper plates on each side of the head and number them 1 and 2. The shooter is ready and you call out

the number. The shooter deploys three rounds to the plate of the number that you call out. This is a set up to the basichostage drill and the shooter must not shoot the hostage. Repeat this 30 times. Standing behind the shooter and givingthem a light push as they deploy their gun can add more stress. This can be done with a traditional hostage target.Use the 33 Drill to score the shooter. There are a total of 99 rounds deployed in 11 sets of 3 rounds. A helper is neededto hand the shooter new magazines, as this is a dynamic drill. A new plate target is set up in the head. One is thecommand of fire. You mix it up with calling other numbers or words and the shooter must not shoot unless he hears 1.Each time you call 1 he deploys his gun and fires three to the head. The helper gives him a new magazine and it isloaded into the gun. You score this drill by giving 3 points to each hit on the plate and 85 is an adequate score.About the authorHe is a Certified Instructor for the HaganaH FIGHT program, ICS, Israeli Tactical Knife Fighting, Combat Wrestling andGround Survival.
