Cut off just the head of the animal in the photo and glue it to a blank piece of paper. Your kids will then draw and color a body for the animal. Nor did He create only one kind of fish. There are approximately 10,000 species of birds in the world, 1 and scientists estimate that there are around 28,000 species of fish! 2 Can you imagine trying to come up with ideas for that many different kinds of fish? God is an amazing Creator, isn’t He? One of God’s creations is the crown jewel of them all, the cherry on top of the sundae. That prized creation is human beings. People are God’s only creation that He made in His own image. What do you think it means to be created in God’s own image? God’s Word says this: “Then God said, ‘Let Us make human beings in Our image, to be like Us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.’ So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” -Genesis 1:26-27, Discover God Bible, NLT To be created in God’s image means that He made us to be like Him. Just as you have similar features to your parents, we have similarities to God. Has anyone ever told you that you have your mother’s eyes? Or maybe someone has said you have Great-Uncle Peter’s nose. Do you have any talents that your parents have? It is like that with God, too! Because you are created in God’s image, you have some of God’s creativity in you! Preparation:
