WE REMEMBER – WE CELEBRATE – WE BELIEVE! On Sunday, September 24, 2017, Bishop James

Massa, Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn, will

celebrate the 12:15 PM multilingual Mass in

the Upper Church to open the 125th Jubilee of

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. The

Jubilee Year will continue till September of 2018. Save the

date! Plan on participating in this joyous celebration. Our

Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us!

The Diocese of Brooklyn is hosting a Catholic Day

on Saturday, September 9th

at Citifield. The day

includes a mass in the morning with Bishop

Nicholas DiMarzio and host of fun games and

food, followed by a Mets Game. We have a block

of tickets as a parish and the price is $15. Please contact the

rectory by August 28th

Duane Reade and Family Health Centers at NYU

Langone will be at the church on Sunday,

September 10, from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM in the

upper church vestibule to provide flu shots to

anyone over 18 years of age. If you have an

Registration for Religious Education: The Office of Religious

Education, 5901 6th Avenue, is open for registration

Monday to Thursday, from 1:30 till 4:45 in the afternoon. In

addition on Wednesday, August 23, from 1:30 PM till

6:30 PM. Please register your children before August 28.

Confirmation and Communion videos are now ready to be

picked up in the Religious Ed office, during regular office

Last weekend there were 2,562 people who

came to OLPH for the celebration of the

Eucharist. The total collection was

$10,038.63. Thank you for your generosity in supporting

Bible Study and Faith Sharing: Come and join Father

McDonald in a group that seeks to know the scriptures

and to share their faith. This class meets every Monday

in the Parish Center at 7:30 PM.

Registration for the 29th Annual PO

Christopher Hoban Run, a 5 mile run which is

now a September tradition in Bay Ridge, will

take place on Sunday, September 17, at

10 AM. Supported by the Xaverian Police Alumni, the

NYPD, and the entire community, the Hoban Run

supports a memorial scholarship fund to honor

Christopher Hoban ‘80, an NYPD officer who lost his

life in the line of duty in 1988 at the age of 26. If you

Iglesia de Arriba a las 12:15 p.m., para dar
