DEVOPS ENGINEER BuildEmpire are looking for a self-motivated and passionate DevOps Engineer, with at least two years of commercial experience who shares our values in collaboration, creativity and innovative ideas. Your job will entail working closely with the Principal Developer to design, deliver and maintain the systems that support our existing workflows. In addition, you will be required to ensure existing systems for clients are maintained, updated and operate reliably as per existing SLAs.

Our existing infrastructure is mostly hosted within AWS using a mixture of services in varying regions. Recently we have started making use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), alongside our existing Chef provisioned servers, and Docker containers. Your role will require you to extensively and proactively suggest opportunities for automation.

We require the candidate to have experience of:

• Git • Chef • Vagrant • Docker • Continuous Integration • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) • AWS (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, ElastiCache, RDS etc) • Linux (Ubuntu 16+) • Nginx • SSL Certificates: Installation, Ciphers, TLS etc. • Security: Firewalls, Security Groups, Patches • Automated Deployments (CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, TeamCity etc) • Architecting and implementing large scale, scalable and resilient infrastructure

solutions.

It would be nice for the candidate to have experience of:

• PHP • Ruby & Ruby on Rails • Capistrano • Elasticsearch • Caching (eg. Redis or Memcache) • Database Systems (eg. MySQL or PostgreSQL) • Server & Application Monitoring
