been implemented by NPOs and Bilateral Cooperation Organizations targeting indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon

• Some problems have been addressed• All seven indigenous communities benefited• Active interest from NPOs and BCOs

ConclusionSource of problems has not been tackled:
• Oil is the biggest threat• Oil represents 60% of
Ecuador’s exports• Oil companies have
implemented CSR strategies without success
