DESIGN AND TESTING OF I-V &V-I TRANSMITTER

AIM:

To design and to test the I-V & V-I converter.

APPARATUS REQUIRED:

1. OPAMP-IC7412. Resistor -10k,1k3. Power supply

PROCEDURE:

V-I converter:

1. First zero adjustment is done for 1v input so that the V-I converter output is 4mA.

2. If for 1V ,the output is 4mA, then there is no zero error or else the variable resistance is varied until we get 4mA.

3. After zero adjustment, span adjustment, is done for 5v to get the output of 20mA.

4. The adjustment is made until we get the required above mentioned output.

5. The voltage is increased from 1v to 5v in steps and the corresponding current is noted through 250ohm resistor.

I-V converter:

1. First zero adjustment is done for 4mA, input to that the I-V converter output is 1v.

2. If mA, the output is 1v, then there is no zero error or else the variable resistance is varied until we get 1v.

3. After zero adjustment, span adjustment, is done for 20mA to get the output of 5v.

4. The adjustment is made until we get the required above mentioned output.

5. The current is increased from 4mA to 20mA in steps and the corresponding voltage at output of I-V converter is noted.

RESULT: Thus the design fabrication and calibration of I-V and V-I converter are done experimentally.
