IntroductionDiffusion has been manufacturing fan convectors, door heaters and air curtains in the UKfor over 50 years. During which time it has established an enviable reputation for bothquality of product and service.

As a company we are critically aware of the need for a low carbon foot print both fromourselves and our customers. To this end, we as a company, source up to 95% of ourcomponents from other UK based manufactures and suppliers.

Diffusion also offers a wide range of cooling products for both commercial and residentialapplications.

BespokeNot only does Diffusion offer a range of competitively priced standard, stock or short leadtime products, it also offers a specialised bespoke product service. This service is primarilyaimed at end users, architects, consultants and contractors. This approach has the benefitof providing the customer with the reassurance of knowing that the correct equipment hasbeen designed/selected for the application.

Units can be provided to suit all applications in various shapes, sizes and finishes.

Energy SavingClimate change, energy consumption and building regulation legislation awareness arenow key to all good system design. To compliment this new thinking Diffusion developed itsenergy saving green controller for use on our complete range of heating products.

The controller is fully compatible with the Modbus open protocol network, which allows theunits to be wired into any BMS system along with other main HVAC plant. Having the unitswired using a Modbus network offers the end user closer control which in turn can offerfurther energy savings by remotely monitoring the set points, fan operation and temperatures.

ObjectiveOur main objective here at Diffusion is to deliver high quality solutions to the client�s needs.Our aim is to design and build a unit that accommodates the specific requirements that ourclient may have and to do this in the most cost effective way, where the quality is nevercompromised.

Darwin CentreThe Darwin Centre is a state-of-the-art science andcollections facility. The building is the most significantexpansion at the Museum since it moved to SouthKensington in 1881.

Diffusion were asked to provide an air curtain solutionthat had to keep within the structural appearance ofthe building. The units were installed between thevertical mullions at 3 metres apart. To prevent anyobtrusive electrical wiring being visible the cables hadto enter the unit within the mounting brackets.

Moor HouseMoor House is one of the most prominent and highprofile landmark buildings in the city of London

Diffusion provided a solution to overcome cold draftsentering the reception area. The bespoke nature ofthe design allowed the units to fit within theconstraints of the entrance area, matching theexisting fixings points and colour.



ExCel Centre (Phase 2)



ExCel London, the international exhibition andconvention centre, is the host venue for a variety ofevents from award winning exhibitions and conferencesto award ceremonies and sporting events.

Diffusion provided a number of heating products,ranging from standard stock items to bespoke circularChameleon air curtains.

Bibendium Restaurant


Michelin House commissioned by the Michelin TyreCompany Ltd as their first permanent Britishheadquarters in 1909, has been a favourite Londonlandmark for many years.

To add additional heating to the Oyster Bar area ofthe restaurant, Diffusion provided a bespoke solution.Due to the building having listed status the unitscould only be mounted over the entrance doors andcould be no bigger than 200mm deep. The units werepainted to match the door arrangement thus makingthem very inconspicuous.

Cornwallis Academy - Diffusion supplied a number acircular Chameleon air curtains with bespoke bracketryarrangements to match the prefixed steel works.

Knowsley Schools - Diffusion were able to providethe full range of products required for this part of theregeneration project as well as bespoke solutions.Diffusion have supplied over a thousand units for thisdevelopment.

AIRBOSSThe stylish Airboss air curtain is a very popularchoice for the retail market. The versatility of the unitallows it be mounted to either a wall, ceiling orsupporting structure by utilisation of the purposedesigned mounting bracket system.

MIRAGEThe Mirage air curtain is a fully recessed unit and comescomplete with a hinged linear inlet/discharge grilleallowing for easy maintenance access.

FANAIRThe Fanair supply/extract ventilation unit can be used as either tosupply or extract air from an area. The unit comes with a four waydischarge diffuser and can be easily fitted into any conventionalsuspended ceiling grid.

SLIMVECTORThe Slimvector is an ideal choice where space islimited, being only 151mm deep. The Slimvector canbe mounted under the floor, behind a wall or in theceiling void, making it the ideal recessed fanconvector solution for any project.

FCHThe FCH fan convector is suitable for all types of installationwhere a surface mounted convector is required. The unit canbe mounted in its own casing or within architecturalenclosures.

LONGLINEThe Longline underfloor fan convector is a discreet and economicmethod of perimeter heating.

GREEN CONTROLLERThe Diffusion Green Controller has been designed to be an energy saving costeffective multi purpose digital control unit fulfilling the requirements for air curtains.It controls electric or LPHW offering energy savings of up to 40%. The controllerhas been a big hit in the retail sector where energy concerns are critical and is alsoavailable with MODBUS network connection.
