1 Ensure that you are familiar with the jacking and moving procedures as per the rig's Marine Operating Manual. Ensure you are familiar with The Unit Rig Move Guidance Manual.

2 Review rig move plans and approval certificates with supervisory personnel. Post rig move plan and certificates where all personnel have access to it. Ensure per-move checks cover all rig move plan requirements.

3 Ensure that an adequate towing vessel package has been provided, and all tow gearis in satisfactory condition. Discuss tow line hook up with the vessel's captains.

4 During the pre-rig move safety meeting, inform all crew members who is in charge, and ensure that they understand the proper chain of command.

5 Ensure that all pre-rig move check lists have been completed by the rig crew prior to jacking operations.

6 Perform an on-site survey of the tow vessel, in accordance with the Insurance Underwriter's Surveyor recommendations.

7 Review the stability calculations performed by the Barge Engineer satisfying

Operating Manual.

8 Ensure that the calculated draft is not over the Load Line draft as shown in theMarine Operating Manual.

9 Stability requirements must be logged.

10 Ensure that material on deck has been secured with consideration for the lengthof the tow, and forecast weather conditions.

11 Check the weather forecast to ensure that the rig can carry out the expected duration of the move within the operational limits of the unit.

12 Ensure that the POB has been reduced to the necessary level.

13 Ensure Rack Phase Difference (On applicable rigs) has been discussed with personnel and move plan incorporates recording and reporting schedule.

1 Verify that the radio room safety equipment is in good order and the emergencybattery back-up battery system is operational.

2 Verify by checks that radio beacons and emergency transmitter are in goodworking order.

3 Confirm that the INMARSAT is operational.

4 Establish and maintain watch on emergency frequencies.

5 Obtain current weather forecast and long range weather forecast.

6 Ensure that a current weather forecast will be received by either the tow vessel or the rig every 12 hours while the rig is underway.

7 Verify by checks that all portable radios are in good working order. Ensure batteries are fully charged, including spare batteries.

8 Ensure that all necessary flags and signals are displayed.

9 Ensure that all nautical charts for the intended route are on board.

10 Post medivac and emergency contact numbers to be available and displayed.

BARGE ENGINEER PRE-RIG-MOVE CHECK LIST

1 Ensure you are fully familiar with the rig's Marine Operating Manual and Unit's Rig Move Guidance Manual.

2 Review the rig move plan and approval certificates with Senior Pusher and attend client meeting as required.

3 Ensure that all stability calculations are within the parameters set by the

rig's Marine Operating Manual.

4 Ensure the calculated draft is not over the load line draft as shown in the Marine Operating Manual.

5 Attend the Pre-Rig-Move safety meeting assisting the Sr. Pusher with any marine issues

6 Ensure that the rig is secured as per the Marine Operating Manual. This should include securing all deck loads, hatch covers, and watertight doors. Report completion of water tight integrity to OIM and log accordingly.

7 Ensure that all Pre-Rig-Move check lists have been completed prior to the start of jacking operations.

8 Ensure that all leg wedges are installed at base of cantilever skidding beams

9 Ensure that all portable radios are operational and ready for use, including fully charged spare batteries.

10 Ensure that all rack chocks are operable, and dis-engaged prior to jacking.

11 Have all void tanks sounded prior to the start of jacking. Ensure they are stripped.

12 Inspect all tow gear during hook-up, ensuring it is adequate for the task at hand.

13 Ensure that all jacking system components are prepared for jacking in accordancewith the manufacturer's manual.

14 Check the position of the deepwell tower before jacking down.

15 Confirm good radio communication with the towing vessels.

16 Ensure RPD"s values are inputed into the system prior to jacking

1 Ensure that all pre-load tanks have been stripped.

2 Ensure oil in HPU of all skidding units and fixation system is topped up.

2 Function test both bilge pumps by stripping all bilge sumps.

3 Check all jacking gear box oil levels and topped up as required.

3 Ensure Isolation of the bilge manifold system, closing all valves.

4 Empty out dirty oil and skimmer tanks.

5 Close all pre-load tank stripper line valves.

6 Ensure that all sea chest valves are serviced and operational.

7 Ensure that life boats are operational.

8 Ensure that the anchor winches are operable, if applicable.

9 Test run the emergency generator.

10 Ensure that the raw water tower and / or pumps are operational

1 Ensure that the top drive, travelling block assembly, rotary tongs, pipe spinner,and all other equipment items hanging in the derrick are secured.

2 Position a sledge hammer and other hand tools as required at the bow for use when connecting and disconnecting tow vessels.

3 Ensure that the sub-structure skidding bolts and pins for drillfloor are in position,including the stowage pins.

4 Ensure that all B.O.P.'s are properly secured in the home position.

5 Ensure that the conductor tensioner platform is secured for moving operations.

6 Clean and grease the skid beams prior to moving the cantilever assembly forward.

7 Ensure that the shaker house mud return line to the mud pits is closed.

8 Ensure that the cantilever is clear for skidding. Ensure all stairs, cables, electrical cords, or any other items which may be attached to the cantilver are clear.

9 Ensure that all the cantilever wedges and pins are in position.

10 Ensure Texas deck hoisted and lashed at stowage position.

11 While jacking operations are on , perform the role of leg observer.

12 Ensure jetting lines clear from mud pump room till deck manifold

9 Secure all cranes for rig move ensuring the load lines are snubbed off.

10 Ensure that the life rafts are properly secured.

12 Ensure leg grease and dope brushes are pre-positioned prior to jackingoperations- 4 no's at each chord total 36 buckets & 18 brushes.

13 Ensure that all loose equipment is secured for move with adequate securing device.
