A BRIEF REPORT

The Sports Department is one of the greatest assert of RBVRR Women’s College. The

Department conducted Intra mural competitions for Staff and Students in the Academic

year 2017-2018.

Great things never came from comfort zone. Our students proof it by participated in

various Inter collegiate tournaments with lot of efforts and Won a good position for our

college.

Our College participated in the following Osmania University Inter – College

Tournaments:

Yoga Tournament on 23rd January 2018, held at RBVRR Women’s College, Hyderabad. We got 4th

place in the tournament and single’s 8th place.

Athletics held at Gachibowli Stadium

. Cross Country held at Osmania University grounds . We got 2nd place .

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY REPORT

(2014-2015)

There is a growing demand today’s society for everyone to look good and agile and live longer

happily. It is scientifically proved that the key to achieve the above in exercise, both physical and

mental. It requires a lot of commitment and determination to make the exercise a regular activity

and part of once daily life.

Sports and Games are not for Competition but it has become a necessary part of regular life. The

activity can be started at any age.

Our college took an initiative to introduce sports in the regular curriculum under CBCS has

evoked great response amongst the students since it has introduced.

Our students have participated in many sports events such as Kabbadi, Volley Ball, Basket Ball,

Chess and Throw Ball conducted by Osmania University and won accolades to our institution.

Out Standing Sports Women

This year brings a lot of cheer to us as Ms. Shiny Suvarna of B.Sc final year has been

selected to represent Osmania University team for Volleyball. She also represented

Telangana State in All India National Volley ball competitions in December 2014.

Ms. D. Sushmita B.Com final year has given a commendable contribution to Women Youth

Nationals in volleyball held at Warangal in January 2015.

Our college has equally shown its might in Kabaddi Osmania University inter collegiate

tournaments which was held on 16th

and 17th

September 2014, at Kasturba College amongst

16 colleges and won the 4th

position.

R.B.V.R.R volley ball team has secured runner up position in Osmania University inter college

tournaments held on 25th

and 26th

November 2014 at St. Francis College, Begumpet, Hyderabad.

Our students also represented the college in Chess, Throw Ball and Basket Ball Osmania

University Inter College Tournaments during the academic year 2014-2015.

In house competitions were conducted to mark the Annual Sports Days Celebrations.

This year, the college witnessed extraordinary participation by our young students in various

intramural competitions like Javalin, Discuss Throw, Shot Put etc. Around 100 students

participated in each event. In Tennikoit and Badminton around 200 students are participated.

Team games like Kho-Kho,Volley Ball, Basket Ball were conducted to create a team spirit

among the students. We are happy to inform that many students for Kho-Kho nearly 24 teams

were actively participated.

Our Physical Director Anuradha Nirmal Kumar was nominated as Managress for Hyderabad

State Women’s Cricket for All India Nationals which was held at Banglore from 25th

to 30th

November 2014.
