Programme Outcomes (POs)

The programme is targeted at developing the

following competencies, skills and abilities

amongst students. They shall be able to:

1. Acquire knowledge in the discipline of

mechanical engineering, apply

fundamentals of mathematics,

engineering and sciences and apply

technologies to solve complex problems

in inter and cross disciplinary areas.

2. Search out relevant technical

information, use analytical tools to

formulate problems and identify

workable solutions.

3. Design mechanical systems,

components, or processes to meet their

performance needs from considerations

of public health and safety as well as

cultural, societal, and environmental

issues.

4. Engage in R & D pursuits, set up and

conduct experiments, analyze and

interprete data using tools, techniques

and instrumentation in mechanical

engineering and interdisciplinary area.

5. Identify, formulate and solve mechanical

engineering problems using modern

design and manufacturing approaches

and computational and software tools.

6. Understand the responsibilities

associated with the use of technology &

processes on societal & legal issues of

concern in respect of health, safety and

culture.

political, environmental and global

issues.

prestigious event Innovation in Manufacturing

Practices IMP -2014 National Level

Innovative project Design Competition at

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in

association with Indian National Academy of

Engineer on 4th to 7 th March 2014 ,

are demonstrate there develop machine . titled

“Design and Development castor seed

extraction Machine ” This machine is

developed by final year student Mr. Nitin

Galanede, Mr. Palash Madamwar . Mr. Swapnil

Malapure and Mr. Swapnil Chaudhary under the

guidance of Prof. Nilesh Awate, Assistant

Professor , Department of Mechanical

Engineering ,

In this innovative project competition all over

india top six project was selected for final

presentation at IIT Kanpur . The student of

GHRCE can represent there project with other

top five colleges IIT Kanpur , IIT Delhi, NIT

Jaipur, VIT Chennai , KVIT Tamilnadu. in this

completion. GHRCE got Third Prize of Cash

Rs.25000/- in this completion

President INAE and other dignitaries are

appreciated the GHRCE student for developing

such kind of machine for the rural development

and reduce the tedious work of seed removal

One Day Workshop on “Manufacturing

Technologies in Solar Photo-Voltaic and

Gadgets Powered By Solar”

One day workshop on “Manufacturing

technologies in solar Photo-Voltaic and gadgets

powered by solar” was organized by Mechanical

Engineering department at G H Raisoni college

of Engineering, Nagpur under the aegis of Solar

Energy Society of India (SESI) on 20 March

2014. Mr.Mukesh Kartare, and Mr.Mehul Patel

faculty from ENELEK Power Private Limited,

Mumbai, conducted a workshop. Scope of

workshop includes the theoretical and practical

concept of solar related gadgets and the

demonstration of solar equipment. Workshop

was beneficial for Mechanical Engineering

students to understand the theoretical and

practical concept of solar energy. They have

explained many important topics related to

renewable energy in their talk. Information

provided to the students is also useful for

pursuing their further research in this upcoming

area. Experts had interaction session with the

students and have given valuable guidelines to

students about recent trends available in this

technology. 120 students of fourth and sixth

semester BE and second semester

organized the guest lecture on “Recent trends in

CAD/CAM” on Monday 10/03/2014 for the

students of M Tech CAD/CAM and VIth Semester

of the department. The lecture was delivered by Mr.

K. Pravin Kumar, CAE Engineer, Geometrics

Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Nilesh Bhagat, Project

Head, Geometrics Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Nagpur.About 60 students from VIth semester and

15 students from M. Tech. CAD/CAM attended the

lecture. He mainly focused on the product

development and the various stages involved in it.

He guided the students about the market

opportunities in CAD/CAM/CAE and discussed

that how the softwares are useful for their final year

major project.

The credit for organizing the guest lecture

goes to Dr. P. V. Walke, HoD Department of

Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Laukik Raut,

Assistant Professor, Prof. S. G. Borkar, , Assistant
